Hey guys... Sorry for the late post, I actually went to this lovely cafe a few days after it just opened in Jakarta, and that explains the many beautiful congratulation bouquets. I came here at 2 or 3 o'clock, thinking that it'll be less crowded, but nooo.. instead this place is full packed! *wow!* This place is none other than Le Cafe GOURMAND!
It's located at Jln. Gunawarman, across from Fitzroy Gastrobar, Loobie Lobster, and Le Quartier. It first debuted in Surabaya in February 2012 and became a huge hit. It's known for their cute little icon, a simple red teaspoon. So let's check it out !
This cafe is just perfect to just chill and relax! Too bad there aren't many sits :(
I love the color of this place, it's really soothing. Everything just made it feel so relaxed and comfy. And the most AMAZING part, really really amazing, is that the wall 'painting' is really a painting, and I mean hand made painting!! Incredible!
CHARLOTTE IDR 40K
Pear cream, chocolate mousse, biscuit faconde.
The outer part is a cake that's really spongy and light and the inside is mousse. With that combination, you can just imagine how airy and soft this sweety is, right?
DOUBLE CHOCOLATE TART IDR 35K
They recommended this one when asked about the favorites. So might as well try it! It's actually a simple chocolate cake, definitely suitable for a choco cake lover.
CARAMEL TART 35K
Valrhona chocolate ganache with smooth caramel and crispy pastry
I actually thought that this was gonna be just another chocolate cake, but it turns out that this one is very good! Really recommend this one, the pie is just right and there's something crunchy on the inside, like rice krispies maybe?
VANILLE IDR 40K
Vanilla milk tuille
It's like another version of mille feuille. The cream and crispy layer fits each other. The moment I saw the desserts, my eyes immediately went to this beauty and it did not disappoint, not one bit.
RASPBERRY CHEESE TART IDR 35K
Raspberry fruit cream cheese with crispy pastry
A perfect dessert to end the day. The tanginess of the raspberry evens out all the sweets from the other treats. It's not too tangy, just enough to suffice.

CAFFE LATTE IDR 32K

Le Cafe GOURMAND does not only offer desserts, but there's also ice cream, main course, coffee and more. The next visit, I'll surely treat myself with some ice cream and macarons, yum!
