OAKROOM RESTAURANT AND BAR


So glad that we were given the chance to enjoy some French cuisine that Oakroom has decided to hold! This is an event called 'A Taste of France', which is a part of Oakwood Asia Pacific’s Chef Exchange Program and it's held from 6th 'till 30th of October. Yes, this is the last day, so what are you waiting for?!

SPARKLING EIFFEL
Shake of Gordon gin, lime juice, simple syrup top up with De Bortoli Sparkling Brut.

When it comes to fine dining, there's of course the welcoming drink and this is what they gave out! Fancy!




They really went all out to decorate this place in a French theme, don't you think so? From the miniature Eiffel tower to the whole French flag color all over the room!




For this French cuisine The Executive Chef Jerome Cartailler from Okwood Premier Jot-Nostalg Center is the one in charge of all the dishes and he'll be showing us some gastronomic delights and of course, real French culinary! Let's check them out now!



WARM GOAT CHEESE SALAD, WALNUT VINAIGRETTE IDR 100K
Loved it! As my favorite salad dressing is vinaigrette, this is just the perfect salad for me! I love vinaigrette and I love cheese..yeap, nothing could go wrong with this!


NORWEGIAN SALMON AIOLI SAUCE IDR 190K
With steamed seasoned vegetables.

Though I'm not a big fan of cooked salmon, this one really took me by surprise seeing it was super tender! They really cooked it to perfection and seasoned it all well, I certainly did not waste anything on the plate, not even the tomatoes! It's just that good!


PROFITEROLES WITH WARM CHOCOLATE SAUCE IDR 70K
Seriously, they really know how to please me! Through all the full course dining, every single dish just hits the right note! This dessert is no different..just imagining the warm chocolate meeting the ice cream, plus the slight tang of the raspberry and let's not forget the choux, makes me want to go back here right now!

Yes, this is the same ones that I had but I just can't help but wanting to capture it again! Just look at those tempting chocolate sauce! They're totally seducing me!


Not only foods but they also have new mocktails coming up all for IDR 25K!

DE ROYALE
Creme de Cassis top up with De Bortoli Sparkling Brut.

There's also an intriguing beverage here if you noticed at the background there with the France flag color, that one is called ASTERIX FREEZE, which is a layer of pure strawberry juice, lychee juice and blue curacao!


FRENCH TEA PUNCH
Stir freshly brewed jasmine tea, mint syrup, honey and fresh lime juice.
