This place has just opened last month and it's already surrounded with families! Well, this kind of foods is a typical family type foods, so I guess it's no wonder. It's called Holyduck and located in Pantai Indah Kapuk, though you need to pay attention when you're searching for this place in daylight, since the sign is white colored!
It's actually not that hard to find, since it's located on top of Holywings. Yeap, you guessed it, they're in the same group, though very different types, Holyduck is a family restaurant, whereas Holywings is a drinking place..lol!
Interior's very Balinese and the food is also Bebek Tepi Sawah and Bebek Bengil type!
Came here on a Sunday at 10 am, so it's still very early, hence why you don't see any other customers. At noon though, the place suddenly became full of families!
Love how the space between tables are pretty wide! A little bit of privacy is always good haha!
Here's 2 of their newest released beverages! The dragon fruit one is called I Nyoman Ketut and costs only IDR 28K and there's mint and soda in it as well. Super refreshing!
LUMPIA BEBEK IDR 27,5K
I have never seen duck in a spring roll before! It's like any other spring rolls you'd find and even though it's filled with duck, because it's shredded, it doesn't taste any different to me!
KACANG PANJANG KALASSAN IDR 22,5K
The long beans is stir-fried with some kind of Balinese spices. Like the spices in betutu, so it's kind of savory and spicy! Don't really get the name though!
URAP BALI IDR 17,5K
Bali's signature salad made of steamed vegetables mixed with seasoned and spiced grated coconut for dressing. This here is just like any other urap you'd find anywhere in a Balinese restaurant!
SATE BEBEK GILIMANUK IDR 35K
Here's another rare duck dish! Duck satay, usually when it comes to satay, it's always chicken, beef, or pork, so this is a first time for me! Strangely, the sensation is like pork with it's soy sauce and it even smells like pork but after biting into it, you'd tell the difference! The meat of duck satay is tougher to chew than pork!
BEBEK PELALAH BALI
You can choose chicken or duck for this and I, of course, went with duck! The duck is shredded and cooked with sambal matah, my favorite! This is super yummy but very spicy! :'( The sambal matah is very authentic, so it's very hot but I'm willing to finish this no matter how spicy it is cause it's just so good!
They provided sets of chili on the side. There's also more sambal matah but I don't really know why the sambal matah on the side isn't as good as the one on the duck. It's much more tasteless and all you can taste is the shallots! Hmm :(
SIGNATURE CRISPY DUCK IDR 77K
Ta-dah! Here's Holyduck's main dish! The duck is deep fried till it's super crispy with more of those crispy goodness on top of it!
The size of the duck is pretty big and tender. Too bad the crispy leftovers are not really unique, it's like what you'll find on Ayam Goreng Suharti..lol! It's good though, so I'm okay with it!
Anytime you need some Balinese cuisine, this might be your choice! After having dinner here, you can immediately hang out in Holywings below. It's the perfect spot!
