DODEE PAIDANG INDONESIA

I think this is a pretty popular restaurant in Australia but there this is more of a Thai street food. Have never been to the one in Australia but this DoDee Paidang in Jakarta opened in the end of 2017 at Puri Indah Mall, next to Ah Mei Cafe.

Like most restaurants, it's crowded upon opening, especially since this is a family friendly type, which suits Puri Mall's market.

Place is pretty cool and modern with all its cute decorations!

GREEN THAI TEA IDR 20K
PANDAN WATER IDR 20K
The Green Thai Tea is oke-ish, just the usual green thai tea. For the Pandan Water, it's literally like the water from boiled pandan. Super fragrant and with the added sugar, this became one refreshing beverage!

MOO PING IDR 39,5K

It's pork neck with a very savory Thai flavor. Dip it into the sauce for extra sour and spicy flavor!

Here you can choose rice noodle, flat rice noodle, glass noodle, bee hoon, egg noodle, and instant noodle..well, that's a lot. You can even have soft boiled rice like this one instead! When I came here it's on a special price, only IDR 30K!

The rice is not that mushy, so don't worry. There's not much topping tho and the soup taste like tomyum but not the milky type.

Taste is oke-ish I guess.

SUPERNOVA IDR 48K

In the menu book, the photo looks super attractive but the reality..not so much, lol! Truthfully, the taste is also just ordinary and the soup is exactly the same as the one before and this is their default noodle type if you don't choose the noodle.

I admit I'm not really satisfied with the foods as it's pretty standard and everything but I guess if you're looking for a soupy meal, this is worth the try. Especially since the price is pretty affordable.

FRIED BREAD WITH PANDAN CUSTARD IDR 30K
This is like the fusion of Cakwe and bread..lol! The custard is super good but without it, the bread is super plain.

Though the custard is green, the pandan flavor isn't really that strong but more milky. Yum!!

MANGO STICKY RICE IDR 38K
This is also super good!!! The sticky rice smells amazing, the coconut milk is just right, and the mango is super sweet. Perfection!
