HI!! There's something new in town!! But well, this time it's not about a place, but it's Traveloka's newest feature called Traveloka Eats! So anyway, if you open Traveloka's app, you'll find the section I circled. Traveloka has really developed now from just selling hotel and plane tickets, huh? Since I'm a foodie, let's just get right to the topic, 'cause mind you, there're lots of offers to find!

Alright, so here you'll find LOTS of offers in the apps, which meansss *drumrolls* DISCOUNTS! Type a restaurant's name (or even dish!) and also the city, malls, and voila! They'll give you a list of special offers! Here, I picked Seroeni in Plaza Senayan, since they have one of the BIGGEST offers out of all, and having tried the place before myself, it's pretty good!

Coincidentally, they are currently having 2 special offers:

- First one is a 4 pax family package worth IDR 666,435 to just IDR 399,861!

- The second is 2 pax package with IDR 258,720 value to just IDR 194,040!

Well of course I picked the package for 4 HA! You can see that the more you purchase, the bigger the discount. So what did I get? Here they are!

To me personally, this is really worth it. They don't even have this shady T&C where you should buy something first or pay something else later. Offer includes tax! GOSH!

After clicking "BUY NOW", you get to choose how many vouchers would you want to get. 1 voucher is already IDR 399,861 so if you plan to bring your big family, you can multiply it by 2! Anyway after that you'll need to input some data in which you can SAVE or log in via Facebook to make everything easier! Their payment method include Credit Card, ATM, CIMB Clicks, BCA Klikpay, and Mandiri Debit. After that, you have 3 hours to finalize your payment, or the booking is considered canceled.

I chose the ATM BCA method, which is the easiest in my opinion, apart of credit card of course. You'll get the account number, name, and the total amount to transfer to. Anyway it seems complicated if you try to read it but if you've ever bought anything online, it's actually as easy as, or even easier! After everything, I verified my payment by clicking the button and they'll also verify it for us.

Then, there'll be payment confirmation sent by Traveloka, where you can just go to the restaurant to show your online voucher to the waiters. There will be a "swipe to redeem" button, which you should NEVER swipe yourself. Let them do it for you! Easy ain't it? Now that the easy to use app has done its job, let's get into real business:

APPETIZER

BANANA BLOSSOM DUCK SALAD IDR 58K

Goes without saying, I chose the most expensive in the menu HAHA! The rest are priced around IDR 38k. The duck is so tender, so good, great match to the salad! The ratio between the salad and the meat is also harmonious. Anyway, Seroeni is a Peranakan cuisine place, so here's what the menus look like!

Package includes 4 mains (1 beef/ prawn, 1 fish, 1 chicken, 1 vegetable/tofu), so:

MAIN DISH

The fish for me is MALAY SAMBAL SALMON IDR 89K

Again, it's the most expensive lollll, trust me this one isn't on me, the waitress did recommend this one though! The salmon came in 4 pieces. It's unique since its cooked in sauce instead of getting if pan fried as usual.

The sambal was great to eat with nasi lemak kinda thing. So Malaysian, eh? Might look kinda weird to you since they use salmon, but it actually tasted great. Everything suits one another!

I chose beef instead of prawn, and hence CRISPY BEEF LONG'AN IDR 95K

Fried to absolute crunchiness, it kinda eliminates the meat taste and texture. However, it just tasted good. I mean, crisps.... Oh well! Suits the local taste perfectly: sweet and crispy!

The veggies would be PO-CAI WITH THREE-KIND EGG IDR 55K

It's so good I don't know what to comment! Besides, it's my personal favorite because the eggs really give a warm taste to the broth!

SPICY SESAME CHICKEN IDR 62K

Weeelll, it's basically fried chicken with a sauce. How can you not like it? Well personally for me though, the sesame wasn't enough to give it aroma, and it wasn't that spicy, which beats the name of the menu itself. I wish they used more chili and sesame, worth the extra ingredients.

Since it was for 4 people, we got 4 drinks! Limited to everything priced to IDR 25k and below, these are what we got!

All of their international tea (hot tea) are priced at IDR 25k. I picked CHAMOMILE

4 desserts!!!! It didn't include snow ice though, maybe because it's Ramadan seasonal menu.
ICE DURIAN CHENDOL IDR 35K

The durian is the ice cream itself! Anyway, besides of cendol they also have tapioca bubbles and grassjelly. Tasted great since they put in a lot of topping, less shaved ice! Lovely!

ICE KACHANG IDR 35K

It's not really familiar for me since its topping include red bean, tapioca bubble, and corn! Plus vanilla ice cream, which makes corn the only out of the picture ingredients for me.

MANGO PUDDING WITH FRUIT COCKTAIL IDR 35K

Mango just never fails, so goes this one! Pudding is sweet and balanced out with the refreshing sour berries!

ALMOND TOFU PUDDING WITH LYCHEE IDR 35K

Here goes the best!!! Deliciously Chinese HAHA! Topped with grassjelly with almond tofu pudding beneath. I suggest eating them layer by layer because I personally think that the fruit cocktail's taste doesn't really match the sweet almond pudding. One by one, though, they're really great.

Sooo that's what you got for only IDR 399,127! Traveloka Eats also includes 4 portions of rice for free. Imagine having to pay without the promo! This one makes your expense capped around IDR 100,000 per pax, all tax and service included!

FYI, not all restaurants registered in Traveloka Eats have their own special offer, so you have to find it for yourselves! Some of the restaurants only registered their menu, review, and ratings, which function as a directory of some sort. Also, each special offer vouchers has their own validity period, so remember your own deadline to exchange the voucher!
