Everyone!! Meet my heaven on earth.... Just kidding.. But this is what I imagined when the word happiness pops up. On May 11th 2014, I got a glimpse of heaven on an event called Sunday's Cooks Affair at HYDE Kemang, the new upcoming restaurant in South Jakarta. 10 amazing cooks, each with various backgrounds yet together by one cause; their love for culinary, has team up to create this event! Warning: This post will mostly contain just a little bit of fun facts.
Sooo psyched that I got to this cool place and try all of these yummy treats with other fellow foodies; Yulie, Shelmi, Veggy, Verdi, Edy, Inez.

Made by Guillaume Lansoy, the French Guy. Just look at all those beautiful brown layers!! And you can smell the butter oozing of it... I didn't really get to try it but from the looks of it, I can just see how amazing this would taste. Come on.. Those perfect layers must mean something, right?

First thing that catches my eyes is this unique cake! It's white with a zebra twist on the inside and it's huge! There's no way you can miss it... The taste is okay, just your everyday yummy soft cake.

DARK CHOCOLATE ECLAIR IDR 35K
Made by Kimmy, this dark chocolate eclair is not just an ordinary one! It's topped with salted caramel and peppermint which by the way, is that lips thingy on the top! What a major flavor explosion that combination is, so sexy and bold!
LEMON MERINGUE ECLAIR IDR 35K
Another creation of Kimmy, this time she decided to give something more bubbly. Perfect combination of sweet and sour with a beautiful decor.. It's a fresh twist that'll turn your frown up-side-down!
STICKY DATE PUDDING WITH TOFFEE SAUCE IDR 30K
Made by Putri Miranti, who received the "extremely talented in pastry art" note, this certainly proves a point. Such simple yet sweet presentation with a taste of pure happiness and the strawberry definitely gave it a nice kick of color.. I love the cute tube with toffee sauce in it!

My favorite one! The slick simple yet shining looks that I don't know why just made me drool... The beautiful creamy texture with crunchy base... The sweet taste of baileys, vanilla, and chocolate... Everything about this cake is just wonderful! Not to mention Baileys is my most tolerated liquor!

Made by Ray Janson. This one also has that tube thingy stuck into it, but this one has Baileys liquid in it. This small fellow can't be underestimated! Just looking at it made me want to take a bite and I just know that it'll be all chewy and sweet and heavenly! When you take that bite and the Baileys just burst into your mouth.... Yum~my!

Such a pleasant day I had!!! Even though we sat at the outdoor and the sun is blaring hot, I still had a lot of fun! HYDE was soo crowded and I'm guessing that the event went well..

ReplyDeleteThe event was organized in the dining room, so they set up chairs for the guests. Once the event ended, the event coordinator quickly moved the chairs out and set up tables and chairs for formal dining.
