C's STEAK & SEAFOOD RESTAURANT GRAND HYATT

Good evening from Grand Hyatt Jakarta! C's restaurant from Grand Hyatt has earned themselves a new chef called Chef Hugo Bertolini and we got to experience his cooking! He's here to introduce us his creations, which is C's restaurant's new menu and also some Christmas dishes! What a wonderful sign that Christmas is near! :)

Look at this cool looking canape!

MUSSELS PARMESAN
Baked mussels, parmesan, olive oil, lemon.

Out of all the appetizers, this one is my favorite! I mean come on, it's mussels with parmesan..what more can you ask for? Lol! This doesn't smell at all to me but you can also squeeze some lemon for extra precaution!

C'S CRAB CAKE
Smoked pepper dip.

Nothing out of the ordinary, though it's somewhat tasteless for me. Can even barely taste any crab!

CLAM AND SEABASS CEVICHE
Corn, coriander, onion, and lemon.

Warning; this is super sour!! Consume cautiously..lol! It's raw seabass with clam and poured with lemon juice, hence the sourness!

ORGANIC FRUIT TOMATO SALAD
Red onions, herb marinated feta cheese.

Tomatoes...not a big fan and even more so when made into salad. Healthy..but no! Not what I'd order, sorry! The cheese did made it somewhat better tho, so it got that goin' for it, which is nice!

GRILLED AUSTRALIAN LAMB CHOP
Rosemary glaze, gratin potatoes.

Medium rare lamb smothered with beautiful glaze! Though it's a bit too bad that I don't really like lambs, so having a medium rare of it is pretty intimidating. Sorry chef! The others seem to like it tho, so I guess it's good for those who have no problems with lamb!

ROASTED CHICKEN MARINATED
With fresh herbs crushed sweet potato, butter, chimichurri.

To those who doesn't know chimichurri, including me, I did a little research and found that it's somewhat an uncooked sauce that goes perfectly with meat! Yeap, which is probably why this chicken really taste like herbs. I thought that yellow mush was scrambled egg but it turns out to be sweet potatoes, which is beautiful by the way! Love how it still has that nice texture!

STEAMED GAROUPA "HONG KONG STYLE"
Ginger, leek and soy.

Yes, a very simple and traditional dish but an all time loved! Like always, this is awesome and doesn't smell like Chinese medicine at all! The meat is also very soft that you can just break it with chopsticks! Super!

TOMAHAWK (1500 GR BONE IN WAGYU RIB EYE)
Criolla, romesco or chimichurri.

Well, definitely learnt 3 new words that I never knew before..lol! This is actually huge before it's cut into pieces and it's cooked to a medium rare, so expect super juiciness and tender! It's pretty risky seeing as many would be appalled with this and this is accompanied with mashed potatoes and spinach on the side!

Here's what will remind us of Christmas!

RASPBERRY TART
Crème anglaise.

This is exactly the way you pictured how it'll taste like. Yeap, pretty predictable to me. Good..but predictable!

CARAMELIZED PINEAPPLE AND ORANGE
Black pepper, Bali vanilla bean ice cream.

Now this one is beyond amazing! It's an old menu but it's their signature dish! So this is pure pineapple that is caramelized making it super sweet and squishy. Deliciously sweet and perfect when paired with the ice cream!

CHRISTMAS YULE LOG
So this is actually a very popular Christmas cake. I've seen this a lot when it's Christmas but never got the chance to actually try it 'till now! Well, it's literally just sponge roll cake made to look like a log but it's pretty good! The chocolate is not bitter, though it looks like it and not overly sweet as well, just the perfect balance!

It was a great opportunity and a wonderful dinner, perfect place to take you're loved ones to spend a beautiful Christmas night together! I know that I didn't include the price but I'll link it here for the menu, so that you can check it out!
