Has anyone else realized that there's actually a lot of authentic Korean restaurant in Senopati? Well, I've just realized that recently..yeah, better late than never, right? :p I guess this is why a lot of Koreans like to hang around the area? Here's another authentic Korean restaurant called Cheong Dam Garden!
Their exact location is across from Colette & Lola, on the curve of the road..if you understand what I mean(?)
It's a 2-story building, though the 2nd floor is the private room area. The private room can add up to 6 people and I'd suggest making a reservation beforehand!
Banchan party!! There's definitely a lot of them here and unique ones too, like quail eggs and tempeh orek..lol!
It's also refillable by the way, go nuts!
SAMGYEOPSAL IDR 155K
Typical grilled pork belly, though it's much thicker with less fat. Also, the texture here is kinda different. It's kind of grainy? See for yourself!
It's pretty pricey seeing the amount and that the taste isn't really special.
HAM GIMBAB IDR 80K
Super yummy!! Usually gimbab has more veggies than meat but not this one! Just look at those thick hams!
JUKUMI GUI IDR 165K
This will be grilled right on your table like the Samgyeopsal. It's octopus, so if you don't like octopus, you're definitely missing out! Why not giving it a try, this isn't like those usual octopuses! So tender and flavorful, yum!
CHEONGDAM JOKBAL IDR 350K
Steamed pork hocks! In the picture is actually half the portion, no, it's not available to order just half. What happen is that the waiter split the portion into 2 plates. It's served cold, which we didn't quite like, so we asked them to warm them up but that made it has this cinnamon taste..not our favorite, since we like the savory ones. For jokbal, we haven't taste anything better than the ones at Bumbu Satu!
If you're wondering what part this is, it's usually called pork knuckle. Some might not like it but we definitely have no problem with it!
BOSAM KIMCHIJJIM IDR 425K
Okay, don't be surprised at the price. It's pretty reasonable, since the portion here is pretty big. I think this is even enough for 4-5 people! Don't try to eat this all by yourself..please. Inside the soup is pork belly, tofu, kimchi, and potatoes! Yes, more pork, you know me!
The kimchi is still in one piece but will be cut by the waiter after served, so don't worry!
It's not too spicy or sour but just the right amount! Level it up with some sesame oil and you'll get the perfect soup!
Totally made it into my favorite list and I'd definitely come back for the Bosan Kimchijjim and Jukumi Gui! Really recommend those 2 and I guess it passes as a comfort food!
