HELLO SUNDAY CIKINI

After Mister Sunday, now we have Hello Sunday at Cikini! Located in Metropole, which is a pretty old building that's a bit historical, been here for centuries in the middle of town and this is where the first 21 theater is located and it's now XXI. Fyi, the management here is also the same as XXI's!

Metropole here is suitable for literally all ages! There's Roemah Kuliner for families, Foodcourt, Startbucks, and Hello Sunday is definitely targeted for the youngsters. Foods are Western with a bit of Indonesian. I didn't get a shot of the interior but it looks like an alley and there's an indoor and outdoor, not too spacey tho!

SUNDAY'S CRISPY

Potato chips with beef floss. It's simple but actually good!

SPICY RACHA WINGS

This is definitely a Western version of spicy, as it's not spicy at all and more sour, especially with the sriracha sauce!

QUINOA BEEF SALAD

This is one delicious salad!! Inside are baby spinach, beef bulgogi, edamame beans, corn, soft boiled egg, and smothered with Korean spicy dressings! I don't really like quinoa but here, I think it's really good! Everything just blends so well and it doesn't feel like some healthy food actually..lol!

SAIGON CHICKEN SALAD

This is more like Indonesian's asinan actually. The ingredients are also very Indonesian and unique, papaya, mango, pomelo, chicken breast, tomato, pomegranate, shallot, and peanuts. The dressing used is some kind of Vietnamese sauce that is super refreshing, the kind that is spicy and sour. Yum!

SUNDAY SPECIAL ANGEL HAIR PASTA

At first, I thought that the salmon is what will make this good but turns out the spotlight definitely goes to the super savory angel hair! The salmon is actually a bit overcooked but the angel hair really makes up for that and the crunchy brown sprinkles there is made with quinoa!

ROSEMARY CHICKEN
Although it's good, I think it's the most standard compared to the other menus.

BIG! CHICKEN WAFFLE

Wowww! Here it is, the gigantic waffle with chicken strip poured with butter soy sauce, well that's a BIG YUM! Didn't expect the waffle to be different than the usual waffle but how wrong that is! It still taste like waffle, just switch up the savory and sweet flavor in each bite!

Totally blown away by all of their foods! I do hope that they'll consistently stay this good!

Time for desserts!

AVOCADO FRESCO

The popular dessert nowadays, avocado with chocolate and coffee and this is no different. Here they use Kopi Tubruk soft cream for the ice cream, can you just imagine how fluffy and yummy this is!

PUTU WAFFLE

So Indonesian, huh? The waffle here is different than the one in the chicken waffle. This one is more soft and sweet and they use the ingredients to make a good putu as topping, grated coconut and palm sugar..yum!!

BIG! HONEY TOAST
They weren't playing around with their BIG description, all of their foods with the name BIG in is definitely made to surprise you! When this came to the table, I was definitely in shock..is this really what I ordered? Lol! This picture didn't do the size any justice really, you have to see how big it is in real life! I guess this is good for 4 people or more and you can get either java tea or kopi tubruk for the soft cream or even mix, so I went with a mix to get both flavors!

The java tea flavor kinda overpowered the kopi tubruk tho. Taste like Teh Botol and I just love it!

This is Es Teler soft cream, damn! You can even get it on cone and this is super gewd!!

Totally recommend this place! Seriously, this is not an ad or a paid promotion whatsoever, it really is genuinely good! All of it! The foods, the desserts, everything is just so good and unique and all the flavors really fit the description, so don't worry about if the flavor will actually be what you ordered!
