HOURS KELAPA GADING

Hours here is a new hit at Kelapa Gading and it's 2 months old. There's definitely a lot of new places opening in Kelapa Gading, like Kahvenin, which opens not long after Hours here!

You probably have seen this spot on countless of OOTDs and others. What I didn't expect is how beautiful and spacey the inside is! Pretty crowded too, from the adult to kids, they're all here!

Upon entering, you'd immediately meet this coffee bar!

This is actually the lobby of the building, I guess there are offices here as well? Though usually if Hours is full, customers can also sit here, so don't worry about not getting a seat!

This area is warmer and is not actually part of the restaurant. It's actually a back up seat (yes, they have many back up seats..lol!) and you can also find a lot of OOTD spots here!

EGG ON CLOUD IDR 65K

First up is their signature dish! It takes a bit long to be served as they need to beat the eggs 'till it forms a cloud. Though it's a signature dish, I was kinda disappointed as I think the taste is kinda below average.

The top of this is the egg and below it is bread with pieces of ham and cheese that is very faint. Served with mushroom and sausage. All of this is just standard.. :')

FRIED CHICKEN WINGS IDR 60K

At first I was also thinking the same thing as you might be right now, IDR 60K for chicken wings? Well explanations here, first; there are 10 pieces of it on a bathtub, which is super cute! Next; the taste is super good, might not be crispy but the flavor is definitely strong, a well balanced savory sweet flavor. Worth it!

FRENCH TOAST JACKFRUIT KAYA IDR 35K

They also have a Banana Salted Caramel one but I can pretty much guess the taste, so I went with this one! Toast is fluffy and soft, kinda soggy with all the sauce, taste very fruity and the jackfruit totally gave it a fresh and unique taste!

TERIYAKI SALMON WITH RICE AND SALAD IDR 120K

There's always a price to pay when it's salmon. It's a pretty small portion for me and the salmon is definitely cooked to well-done. The sauce is very salty, so you have to eat it with the rice to balance it out!

PAN FRIED CHICKEN STEAK IDR 75K

The chicken steak here is made like cordon bleu, though it's not breaded, just pan fried. Too bad the chicken is kinda overcooked to the point it's dry and hard to chew. Good thing the sauce is good..lol!

Well overall I'm not that blown away by the taste. The only one that managed to surprise me is only the chicken wings and I guess the french toast is pretty unique, others are just standard. Oh well, it's crowded anyways!

See that glass room there? It's their private room, though if it's a full house, that place will be opened for public..lol! Like I said, there's a lot of back up seat, so don't worry about not getting a seat!
