MR. FOX JAKARTA

Mr. Fox here is from Ismaya Group and most restaurant in that group usually opens 'till late at night. This one is no different, even on weekdays they'll open 'till later than midnight! Mr. Fox is a more lifestyle kind of place, so there is definitely gonna be alcohol here. Located right across of Pacific Place in a building called Energy Building, in the same building as PEPeNERO!

Their tagline is 'Mr. Fox Loves You', cheesy huh? Lol! Well, you're gonna be seeing those words almost everywhere!

Restaurant tour!! They have 2 floors, so let's start from the 1st floor! Fyi, you're not gonna be seeing a lot of people in the photos cause I came here at around 10AM. They actually open from 8AM for breakfast though!

Yeap, people came to Mr. Fox to order KFC..lol! It's actually the name of their menu.

KRUNCHY FRIED CRICKETS IDR 75K

You read it right alright! It's crickets. Who dares to taste it? I did, it just tastes savory salty and crunchy. There also peanuts, chili, tempe crackers, and crispy garlic in this.

Though if you kept looking at the shape of the crickets, it'll make you hesitate, right? xD

CHIA PUDDING IDR 95K

They use mango coulis for the base and prettied up with all those edible flowers, plus the portion is pretty big! Taste just like how you predict a chia pudding will taste like though.

FOXY FRENCH TOAST IDR 110K

I find the taste of this pretty complicated with all the passion fruit lemon curd, matcha powder, and coconut gelato, which I think are all strong flavors, so it all just kinda crash and collided. The toast is good though, I admit!

BULGOGI BENEDICT IDR 99K

Honestly, this doesn't look that appetizing right? But it's actually super delicious because of the Korean bulgogi! Add the gochujang hollandaise and you get this Korean mixed with Western food!

SALTED EGG CHICKEN WINGS IDR 85K

Kinda sad that this sort of failed. The salted egg doesn't taste like proper salted eggs, though the chicken wings is actually tender. If only the salted egg is proper, this will be perfect!

EDAMAME NORI SALAD IDR 75K
Super huge portion! I guess it's because they're all just veggies and stuff, so the price is pretty low cause I really think that this is a lot!

In it are tofu, miso dressing, pickled ginger, corn, toasted nori..kinda like Indonesian's gado-gado, huh?

GRILLED SALMON IDR 195K
This is also the breakfast menu. The salmon is actually huge and perfectly grilled, so it's very tender! The croquette there is eel croquette and on top of the salmon is poached egg. This one's pretty good!

LOUKOUMADES IDR 65K
Guess what! These are Greek doughnuts! The black ones are peanut butter and the white ones are tape. Of course, I prefer the black ones..lol!
