HALAL GUYS INDONESIA - SENAYAN CITY

Yet another international brand has opened a branch in Jakarta! Yeah, this time it's the super popular Halal Guys from New York, coming to Jakarta on late January 2017 in Senayan City. To be honest I have never tried the real one in New York, so I can't really compare. Heard that in New York, they're only on a food truck but the line to get one of these is endless!

They've only got 2 dishes on the menu and that is Mix Gyros Rice and Gyros Rice with Fries. Also 2 sauces available, the white one is mayo and the red one is the spicy sauce, which is super spicy by the way, so be careful!

This is filled with Basmati Rice covered with Indian spices and that round brown thingy on the middle there is called Falafel, there's also Pita Breads and other toppings. What you should do is mix it all up nicely with the sauce or you don't have to mix it up, it all depends on your preference really but I'd go with the mixing!

For the meat, you'd get 2 kinds, chicken and lamb with a bit of beef mixed into it. At least, that's what they said!

2 bowl sizes are available, small and large. The small one costs about IDR 50K and the large is IDR 70K-80K. Well, they haven't made a decision yet, so it's not the fixed price but I thought I'd give you a heads up!

The overall taste is all pretty darn good! I definitely love when the sauce is mixed all together with the whole ingredients, having all elements in one bite is just heaven to me! Yum!

This is what the Halal Fries looks like! It's also good, so it's up to you whether you'd like fries or not. It's supposed to replace the rice with fries but I don't really understand why there's still rice on this one, maybe they don't replace the whole rice and just cut some back? I don't know, all I know is that the fries is delicious. Don't forget the sauce, it's the best part!
