TORE TORE RESTAURANT SERPONG

So recently I've been interested in searching for a restaurant that isn't too popular in the social media world and I found this hidden gem in Serpong! It's called Tore Tore Restaurant and obviously serves Japanese cuisine. When I browsed it in Instagram's location tag, the foods looked appetizing and photogenic, so up we went!

To find the place is super easy, though it's not on the area where it's crowded. More on the still undiscovered area but just look for it in GPS and you'll get there no problem!

On the placemats you can even learn and write your name down with Katakana! Cute and educational!

A complimentary appetizer to welcome you! This is a dish with salmon and carrots, which is pretty good!

SALMON SALAD IDR 47,5K
Here's another starter, which is okay. A small portion of fresh veggies and salmon, the dressing's a bit lacking in flavor though!

TEMPURA ALA CARTE IDR 65K
You can either get the tempura only or the assorted version, where there will be other fried veggies accompanying the tempura. We got the tempura only and there're 5 pieces, tastes fine.

ABURI CHARSIU IDR 37K
Totally disappointed with this! It's super dry, you can even see it through the photo. It's also said to be marinated in soyu, yet I can't taste any soyu at all! :(

GYU TAN SHIO YAKI
This is superb!! In contrast to the aburi charsiu, this totally blew me away. It's super savory and tender. Yum!

SALMON HANA MISO (2PCS) IDR 39,5K
Literally salmon with miso sauce. Kinda lacking in taste area though, not saying it's bad but we prefer if they go bolder and stronger flavors. Well, at least this is the most interesting dish out of all in the menu, so people would probably opted for this one!

ORANGE DRAGON ROLL IDR 79K
A roll filled with cream cheese and kyuri, topped with aburi salmon and tobiko. Even though the fillings and toppings all sounds interesting, the taste is totally below average!

HIROSHIMA ROLL IDR 78,5K

Honestly, it's not worth the price. Sorry to say but of course I'd compare it to Sushi Tei and even though it's both 8 pieces, in terms of taste, this one is definitely lacking and to say that this is their special..hmm!
