Wow! Can you believe that it's almost the end of 2017? It's gonna be Christmas again soon, how time flies! As we reminisce on all of our 2017 resolutions and how our time to achieve it is almost up, let's check out some Christmas themed dining!
This time, Shangri-la Hotel gave us a quick preview on their way of celebrating Christmas at Rosso Restaurant. There's gonna be a 6 course set menu with a price of IDR 698K++. The cake below is their Christmas 2017 edition!
Fell in love with the table decor! Really feels like Christmas even though it's not even Thanksgiving yet when we came here! Lol!
First course is Beef Carpaccio.
The beef is marinated with raspberry and it's definitely different, a good different cause it's actually good!
For the soup it's Mix Seafood Soup with Lombok Lobster Dumpling.
The lobster dumpling is just lovely and the soup doesn't have that fishy smell at all!
Next is Homemade Tagliolini with Pumpkin and Shrimps.
It's not everyday that I see pumpkin sauce on pasta. Though not everyone is a fan of pumpkin, this one is actually good! There's a hint of sweetness of the pumpkin in this, which makes it good.
Homemade Lamb Capelleti
Oh the smell of truffle once this is served...! They also use parmesan cream for sauce, so just imagine the beautiful cheese meets truffle! I want more!! The lamb in the capelleti kinda smells tho, so the only thing that got me hooked is the sauce..lol!
For main course, you can choose either Veal Tenderloin or Salmon Fillet!
Veal Tenderloin with Eggplant Parmigiana Cake
I guess the tenderloin is kinda small but it's really good. Don't really like the sides tho, it's something with tomato and eggplant but that's just me!
Herb Crust Salmon with Potato Gratin
This one's much safer for me. The salmon has a bit of citrus in it and I can eat the potato gratin..lol!
For dessert it's Panettone Tiramisu
Hands down the best tiramisu I've ever had!!! The cream is super light and the coffee isn't strong, do they even use coffee in it? Careful of the powder on top tho, it can cause a bit of a coughing fit! xD
