SANUR MANGGA DUA PIK

Are you ready for a wonderful Chinese feast? Here's Sanur Mangga Dua at Pantai Indah Kapuk, yes, don't get confused now. This is called Sanur Mangga Dua cause their first branch is at Mangga Dua and now they've open a branch at PIK. So let's start the feast!

Be ready for a whole lot of food..lol!

KUAH BAKSO IKAN FUZHOU
At first it might look like just your everyday fish ball soup but once you bite into it, you'd taste heaven! Yes, there's a wonderful filing inside, I think it's fish meat? The soup has a very comforting taste, savory but not attacking. Yum!

KEPITING SAOS SINGAPORE & MANTOU
One of my favorite!! The spicy typical Singapore sauce has always been a delicious choice for crabs!

For the mantou they have fried and steamed, both are yummy in their own way! The fried ones are my favorite, it's a bit too oily tho!

How you eat mantou the right way!

AYAM GORENG LEMON
If you like something a bit sour and spicy, this one is perfect. It's not too sour but you can definitely taste the lemon. The chicken is also crispy but don't expect it too be super crispy cause it has sauce on it but still good!

KOMBINASI DENGAN SALAD BUAH
A typical Chinese appetizer..lol! I've seen lots of these on a wedding at a Chinese restaurant. It's the all in one appetizer. There's 5 types of appetizer; jellyfish with pitan egg, beef, crispy squid, fried prawn, and another fried food, dumplings, I guess? with fruit salad in the middle of it all! It's perfect to tickle your appetite!

SOUN TIM KEPITING
The crab is steamed and only added default seasonings but when combined with the soun, it actually became a good comfort food. Sometimes just the flavor of the ingredient itself is enough!

UDANG TELOR ASIN
Where it all began? Lol! This might not look like the salted egg nowadays but from long ago, Chinese food already has their own signature salted egg and this is how it looks like!

PAIKUT GORENG CRISPY
There's not much seasoning used in this, I can only taste the salt and a bit of pepper, so it's perfect to go with any chili sauce at your choice!

UDANG TIM BAMBU
I kinda taste some herbal here but still super good and it makes you feel healthy after eating it..lol! A simple prawn steamed and served in a bamboo with herbals. How cute!

BAKMI MUN KEPITING
If you're familiar with mun, then this is your typical mun noodle with steamed crab as topping. Mun is somewhat like a creamy soup, so it's pretty heavy yet light, you just have to try it to understand!

SAPI SAOS XO
Another spicy dish with a bit of sweet and savory flavor and the beef is also tender. Definitely one of my must haves when I went for Chinese food, love how the sauce is just overflowing!

SUI KIAO
A simple yet homemade sui kiao. This is actually the first dish that the owner of Sanur made and what encourages him to open a Chinese restaurant, so it has a pretty deep sentimental value and you can just taste the journey in every bite..lol!

IKAN KERAPU TIM KECAP
Of course when it comes to Chinese food this is one of the must haves. A simple steamed fish with soupy soy sauce, just the right comfort food for a rainy day!

KAILAN HONGKONG 2 RASA
The kailan here is half fried and half steamed with drizzled sauce! Yes, it's the only proper veggies we had..lol! It's pretty obvious that we're a huge meat eater!

PASTEL UBI
Probably the best dessert we had! It's sweet and savory, the inside is a typical pastel filling with yam as skin.

ONDE MANIS
Sort of like mochi with peanut, the powder peanut on top is sweet and salty and the onde taste just like mochi. It's very small and you won't be able to stop munching on it!
