I'm not sure what's up with Pluit, but here's yet another new dimsum place where it truly belongs! It's called One Dimsum, located in parallel with Wing Heng, its level competitor that hoards great taste and open 24hrs! Let's hope this one meets the expectation as well, how about we find out! CHONG QING LIU YI SHOU HOTPOT PANTAI MUTIARA JAKARTA

Yes, I know the name is pretty hard to remember and you might stifle a giggle like I did but after searching about it, we found out that Chong Qing is actually the name of a city in China. Just remember the Liu Yi Shou if it's easier..lol! In their Instagram and in maps, they also just went with Liu Yi Shou.

KURA SUSHI PIK

Anyone that sees this opening in Jakarta will definitely be interested to try like myself, as we have never been to Japan, so we have never tried that legendary gyukatsu that everyone who went to Japan will eat. We are definitely thankful that Jakarta has started to have a lot of these opening here!

MEE POK LAU LIM PIK

Yeah!! Another Bak Chor Mee is here! It's also in PIK, in line with Sweet Hut. This one is called Lau Lim Mee Pok and it's of course, a Singapore cuisine. Open from 7 am, so you can have this for breakfast as they also sell breakfast foods like butter toast and half boiled egg, all very Singaporean!

WARUNG BALI BEDUGUL PIK

My current favorite restaurant!! This Balinese restaurant at Pantai Indah Kapuk here is called Warung Bali Bedugul and it's located next to Warung Rawit.

JIN BAO PIK

Found something new here at Pantai Indah Kapuk! Located at Ruko Metro Galeri Broadway area, the one that has Starbucks and Burger King. This place is called Jin Bao and it's a Chinese restaurant but the plating is super pretty and nice, which is unlike the usual Chinese restaurant.

MR. MUSA KOREAN RESTAURANT KELAPA GADING

If I'm not mistaken Mr. Musa here is an old restaurant at Gading Batavia, Kelapa Gading. I guess they're not quite exposed yet, even when I came there was almost no customer. Came here after seeing their Instagram and there are a lot of food variety and all look amazing!

SANUR MANGGA DUA PIK

Are you ready for a wonderful Chinese feast? Here's Sanur Mangga Dua at Pantai Indah Kapuk, yes, don't get confused now. This is called Sanur Mangga Dua cause their first branch is at Mangga Dua and now they've open a branch at PIK. So let's start the feast!

Be ready for a whole lot of food..lol!

MASIZZIM INDONESIA

I think Masizzim here is an International worldwide brand, is it not? Because when I checked their Instagram, the one that came up are Masizzim Singapore or Thailand or others. Now they have decided to open a branch in Indonesia, more specifically at Pantai Indah Kapuk! It's at the ruko at the left side of the toll road from Puri.

SEC DINER PIK

Finally!!! SEC decided to open a restaurant where you can enjoy their wonderful salted egg chicken fresh! The restaurant is called SEC Diner instead of SEC Bowl because the concept here is different. It's much more like a proper restaurant and the price is also a bit more expensive. Located at Pantai Indah Kapuk, in line with Social Affair.

THE FAT PIG PLUIT

Yet another pork specialist has landed in Jakarta, more precisely in Pluit! Yay! Can't be denied that North Jakarta is the heaven of non-halal foods, either it's PIK, Gading, or Pluit. Probably because of the market is perfect for it. This place is called The Fat Pig and it's one with a carwash, though I don't remember the name of the carwash, sorry! :(

GINZAMARU PIK

It's finally March! Why are we excited you ask? Well, because in this month, we'll be going on a lot of vacations! Yes, not just one trip, but several, check out our instagram if you're interested in following us on our holidays. No, we won't be going together but on a separate trip, so if you wanna know each of our trips, find us on each of our own instagrams!

That's our quick heads-up, so now let's get back to business. Today we'll be sharing about Ginzamaru, which used to be where Sumibian was at Pantai Indah Kapuk. Don't really know if the owner is still the same or not but they both have grills and Ginzamaru here has more Japanese foods. If you still have no idea where this is, it's in line with PIK's market!

MOMO PARADISE INDONESIA - PIK

Here's an International restaurant chain that has landed in Jakarta, it's Momo Paradise! They already have outlets in Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam, etc and now in Indonesia, more specifically Pantai Indah Kapuk. Exact location is in line with Sumoboo. It's an all you can eat by the way, wohoo! Fyi, they only serve beef here, no chicken, no fish, no pork..just plain beef with a 90 minutes time, like most AYCE!

RAFFE RAMYEON HOUSE MUARA KARANG

Hello Muara Karang! Hello Samyang Lovers! Yeap, this is a post for those people, it's a newly opened ramyeon house at Muara Karang called Raffe Ramyeon. Still freshly opened, like a week or 2 and I immediately knew about this place because my friend is the interior designer for the place!

ICHIBIRU PIK

Confession! I came here last year and kinda forgot about this until I saw other foodies' posts about this place in Instagram! So even though it's late, we still want to share this to you guys! :D The place is called Ichibiru, though you might find the name a bit unfamiliar but it's actually located at Pantai Indah Kapuk and it's even at the popular area, near PIK's Fresh Market!

NOODLE KING PIK

Ever since I've started working, my time is a bit limited because I only get 1 day off. Which is why each time I get a day off, I'd go with my friends for restaurant or cafe hopping! Our target is usually either new ones or yummy ones and this here is the result of it. Noodle King is a pretty new restaurant at Pantai Indah Kapuk, exact location is right next to Shirokuma. and what interest me here is their Jjangmyun!

See this below? Nope, this is not what we ordered..lol! These are only dummies! Can you believe that? Looks pretty real, huh? Well, as you can see, the Korean cuisine they offer here is not the usual grilled foods hence the name Noodle King!

As always, Banchan is a must at a Korean restaurant and Kimchi is a mandatory Banchan!

JJAJANGMYEON IDR 55,2K
Steamed noodle with sweet flavored black bean paste.

Ta-dah! Here's what we've been waiting for!! Our reason of coming here! There's not many restaurant in Jakarta that offers Jjangmyeon and I think I've tried almost all that has this. To me, this is the best out of all of them! It's definitely a must-try if you love Jjangmyeon!

Better eat it while it's hot to get the best taste!

Deep-fried pork cutlet, served with special sauce and salad.

Kinda surprised that the price is higher than the Jjangmyeon, especially considering the portion but I guess it's because this is pork(?) It's good though, a bit too thin but good nonetheless. Can't really be bad, since it's pork anyway..lol!

This also comes with a Jumokbap, a Korean rice ball and it's yummy as well!

CHEESE BULDAK IDR 84,9K

Grilled chicken in spicy Korean sauce, topped with melting cheese.

Another reason we came here! Yes, whoever could resist those sexy melted cheese?? Careful cause it's a bit spicy! What didn't satisfy me here is the portion and amount of the chicken! You might think that this is big from the plate but it's actually not that much, especially considering the price! Nevertheless, sometimes I wouldn't mind burning some extra cash for this alluring cheese!

For the question of whether we'd come back, I guess we would but only for their Jjangmyun and some occasional Cheese Buldak..lol! Might try other menus though, since it does look good from the dummies!

BOON TONG KEE JAKARTA

Boon Tong Kee is finally open, everyone! What? You weren't waiting for it? Well, we were! :p We have been since seeing it's sloppily covered signboard! Boon Tong Kee here is popular in Singapore and this one is not actually the first branch here in Jakarta. There first is the one in Kelapa Gading but seriously, we rarely go there seeing as it's way too far off, which is why we're excited that they decided to open one that's closer, at Pantai Indah Kapuk!

I guess they made a pretty good decision to open here, seeing as the people here likes Chinese food and it's proven by the fact that it's a full house when we came here! Lucky us we got here just in time, so we didn't get into a waiting list, which got long after we sat down! Boon Tong Kee and Woon Tung Kee is actually the same, just fyi!

WTK SIGNATURED BOILED CHICKEN (WHOLE) IDR 198K
Of course this is a must-have item when you come here! Can't really complain about this, since it's just such a comfort food that can't really go wrong. Accompany this with chicken rice, add the sauce into the rice and eat it altogether..heaven!

WTK SIGNATURED ROAST CHICKEN (WHOLE) IDR 198K
WTK here actually means Woon Tung Kee, so don't get confused now! I personally prefer the boiled chicken cause this is a bit too dry for me. It might be good if you eat it with some kind of sauce or chili, which is what I did!

TOFU CLAYPOT SEAFOOD IDR 98,5K
This is like an obligatory dish when you eat at a Chinese restaurant..lol! Though we're somewhat disappointed that the tofu is not the usual Japanese tofu but since the taste is still good, we're gonna let it slide just for this time!

SWEET AND SOUR PORK IDR 135K
Though the others were hating on this, I still couldn't hate it. It's pork and it's sweet and sour, which are both my favorite things! How can I say no? The portion might be smaller than I expected but it tastes okay, needs more meat though cause all I can taste is crispy skins!

CRISPY CEREAL FISH IDR 125K
Tastes delicious because of how salty it is..lol! Plus, since it's a dory fish, expect tender meat with crispy cereal! So on top there is not only cereal but egg made into floss-like! Yum!

SQUID RINGS WITH MAYONNAISE IDR 70K
Deep fried foods always go well with mayonnaise, so expect nothing less from this! You gotta eat it with the mayo though, cause just the squid is very plain, yet it's not so plain with all those meat floss on top! Nice catch!

You can never really dislike dishes when it's Chinese food, especially when I grew up eating these kind of foods. There's also low chance for a Chinese restaurant to taste bad, no matter how bad, it's still okay. Well, at least that's what I think, since I've never been to a horrible tasting Chinese restaurant!

CHIR-CHIR INDONESIA, JAKARTA

Yeap, another one has landed at Pantai Indah Kapuk! Anybody else noticed that our last 2 posts are also from PIK? Well, here's another one and this time it's Korean! Having been super popular in Singapore, they've decided to open a branch at Indonesia and they are Chir Chir! Their exact location is right next to Seorae. When we saw this new place, we immediately went in without noticing that there's a 'closed' sign on the door..how embarrassing!! What's weird though is that the staff still welcomed us and escorted us to a table but then as they gave us the menu, they told us that the place is actually not opened yet and that they're still going through a food test with the Singaporeans..whoops? Well, they're still willing to serve us anyway, which totally earned my respect! Because of this, the dishes are still incomplete, since there're still some ingredients that's not right. Don't worry though, you only need to wait until 29th February for everything to already be under control!

The whole design of the place is totally a cute with all those adorable knickknacks all around! Definitely an ootd photo worthy! XD

Chir Chir here sells mostly chicken, obviously..just look at the whole place and even their logo is a chicken! Lol! Even though it's chicken, don't expect it to be cheap cause even the cheapest main course here is IDR 119K! Below that price are only salads, fries, or drinks!

BLUE MARINE TOK! TOK! MOCKTAIL IDR 89K

Refreshing and sweet Tok! Tok! mocktail (non-alcohol) made of green grape.

True to their description, this drink tastes sweet and it's carbonated. To be honest, I don't really know what's in this and when we asked the owner, he didn't know as well..lol! All we know is that it's sent from Singapore already in this state, well I don't really mind, it's refreshing after all!

CAJUN CHICKEN SALAD IDR 69K

Delicious cajun fried tenders on a bed of freshly chopped romaine lettuce, topped with special dressing and shaved cheese.

The portion of this is actually big enough for 2 people, at least that's how it is for us! Chicken's amazing, crispy, tender, and juicy, can't ask for anything else! Even the veggies are good and that's saying something, since I'm not a huge vegetable fan. Love how fresh these veggies are! I hope it's not just like this because it's still a food tasting session! Actually, they not only have savory salads but also fruit salad, which we intended to get, it's called Honey Grape Salad but too bad the ricotta wasn't ready! :'(

For the cutleries, they have this tongs with chicken feet shapes! Too adorable! :3

FRIED CHICKEN IDR 159K
Half Original, half Garlicky.

Actually the price of the Original is IDR 149K but the Garlicky is IDR 159K. They said that it's a 2-people-portion but seeing it, I personally think it's enough for 3-4 people! This is the size of a KFC chicken and don't people only have 2-3 pieces?

I'm totally in love with this chicken! It might be fried but it's still hell'a juicy and totally flavorful! I do recommend eating the Original first though, since after tasting the Garlicky, you'll think that the Original lacks seasoning because the Garlicky has a really strong flavor!

Well, can't deny that the Garlicky tastes better and plus, the Garlicky comes with toppoki!

SPRING ONION NEST IDR 149K
Chicken tenders, cashew nuts and garlic mixed on a nest of spring onions and topped with Chir Chir's spicy onion dressing.

These ones are boneless chickens and since I love onions, it's heaven for me! For those who doesn't like onions don't really need to worry though, because actually the smell of onions here isn't that strong but just to be safe, you might want to try other than this one!

To eat this, you gotta mix it all up and I love how good it smells! Plus the chickens are super thick! You just have to try this!

NEST SNOW IDR 159K

Juicy chicken tenders with cajun seasoning, topped with rich cream sauce and sweet salad. A delicious new recipe!

Another dish from the same category, so this one's also a boneless chicken and this is their signature dish! Truth be told, I'm not a big fan of this one because the chicken is dry unlike the ones before and the cream sauce lacks taste, the mashed potatoes as well. Really too bad but it might be because they're still not ready yet, I do hope they'll fix it when they do open officially!

Ta-da! Here's a portion for 2..lol! Before you say we're crazy, we want to justify that this is also too much for us! I even think that this is enough for my whole family! We didn't finish them but we decided to take them home and it's still good afterwards! The only downside is that they're no longer crunchy but taste-wise, still perfect!

Overall we're totally satisfied and will definitely come back to try their Roasted Chicken, which is not yet available because their roaster is still not working, and their Cheese Fries, and pastas! So sad that all their interesting dishes aren't ready yet! :(
