Hey all, welcome back to our blog! Today we're gonna tell you about a Japanese restaurant with the best Katsu in town, it's Katsutoku! Of course, that's in our opinion but hey, maybe you guys have the same taste? This is actually not a new restaurant located at Plaza Senayan and even though it doesn't get that much exposure from Instagramer and all that, it is still super crowded. Definitely shows that the quality of this place is the best!
It's inside of Sentral Senayan and it's in the deserted section where it's mostly Japanese restaurant there, pretty close to Marutama Ramen. Place is not that big and the space between tables are narrow making the room feel stuffy if it's crowded. This is also the type of restaurant that is only open at lunch and dinner time, so be sure to check the time before coming here!
You can craft your own dipping and seasoning to make your Katsu even better!
How you crush the sesame is not by grounding it but just crushing it while rotating the bowl!

There are 5 pieces of it, if I'm not mistaken. It's pretty big in size and just the way I love it, not oily!
PORK SIRLOIN KATSU NABE IDR 139K
You can also make this into a set with soup and rice for only IDR 169K. The portion is actually super big, it's certainly too bad that we can't capture it on camera! Pork is also thick and it's below all that egg with sauce, so don't expect it to be crispy!
Ta-dah! Here it is! I think most would love this and if you don't like pork, there's also a chicken one!
PRAWN AND SIRLOIN KATSU SET IDR 266K
Yes, it's a bit pricey but definitely worth it! Promise that you'd be full with this, since the meat is thick with just enough layer of batter. For us who ate more than normal woman, or person in that matter, we need 2 people to finish this. Maybe because of the thick meat and rice? Well anyways, this is set, means you'll get rice and soup, which you can choose either pork or miso soup. Since I was curious with their pork soup, we went with that..don't really like it though. Kinda expecting it to be somewhat bakhut type but it's not..lol!
There's also a huge prawn here! Yay!
I did some experiment here and just mix all the sauce..lol! Turns out to taste like sesame sauce with a bit of vinegar like flavor. Personally, I love it!!
