A new new place for K-poppers in South Jakarta! Let me present to you, Seoul Yummy at Lippo Mall Kemang, directly franchised from Singapore! Their numerous outlets in Singapore are just a dawwn for another expansion, this time to Jakarta. It's so fresh as this place is newly opened, a week before the fasting month began. Fresh!

MOREAU CHOCOLATIER'S CAFE KEMANG

Are you ready to indulge yourself in some chocolatey goodness? This is a place where you'll be craving hard for chocolates, it's Moreau at Kemang! Saw this on a random post on Instagram and set our minds to come and try it! How can you not when you see these, just read on and you'll understand why!

LOCARASA GELATO KEMANG

Sometimes I do get bored with international cuisines and have this strong craving for Indonesians. When we talk about Indonesian, especially traditional foods, we usually would immediately refer to market or street foods. Who would've thought that we can create something way off with our traditional food that we think doesn't get enough credit! Locarasa here is one of the place that will prove people wrong, that our nation food can actually become something innovative and delicious!

NOLITA COFFEE & COMFORT FOOD KEMANG

Like we said before on our last post, we've been quite interested in coffee shops more nowadays and we even found this hidden gem! Can't really say that we 'found' this but we've never really heard about this place before and while browsing for interesting places in the South, since we were in that area, we stumbled upon this pretty spot at Kemang, Nolita Coffee & Comfort Food!

The reason why we called it a hidden gem is also because when we came here, it was pretty deserted..like 'we're the only customer' kind of deserted..lol! Too bad though, since I personally think the place is comfy enough and super photoshoot worthy! Yeap, 1 of us even had an OOTD moment here if you followed both of our Instagram! :p

Can't really say that the place is small, especially seeing as they have a second floor, which leads back to why I said too bad! I think this place needs to improve their marketing cause I bet people would love places like this! I would as well, if it were not so far from home!

Yes, the name is Nolita Coffee & Comfort Food..guess that they really wanted to highlight that they offer comfort foods. Well, since it's a first, we guessed that it would be interesting!

MOCHA LATTE IDR 38K
Milk foam, steamed milk, chocolate, espresso.

At first sight you'll definitely doubt whether this is mocha or not, since the color doesn't show any signs of chocolate whatsoever! After tasting it though, you'll then find hints of chocotale in it. Kinda disappointed that they're pretty stingy on the chocolate!

BUTTERMILK FRIED CHICKEN WAFFLE IDR 65k
W/ butter and maple syrup.

Great fried chicken, not so great waffle. Love the crispy and flavorful chicken but the waffle's a bit lacking, both in texture and taste! Though it's not really that bad when you add the maple syrup or whipped cream but not with the butter. I was expecting the butter to at least be salty or sweet but it's not, so it doesn't really help the waffle!

STICKY DATE PUDDING IDR 50K
W/ toffee sauce and vanilla ice cream.

So good!! Don't expect this to be a pudding though, cause it's more of a cake and it's very sweet, especially with the toffee sauce! Eating it with ice cream whether it's still warm or not is both enjoyable!

This wall is so artsy and great photo spot! The only problem is that it's located outside of the building and at that time, the weather was scorching hot, so I didn't really want to be outside for long! If it wasn't that hot, I bet I would've snap a few OOTDs here..lol! Maybe next time!

BREAKFAST AT CAYENNE

Say hi to Kemang!! Been so long since the last time we came to this area, I think our last visit was to Queenshead. Blame it on the distance, since Kemang is not the closest place to our home. This time, we're heading south on Kemang to enjoy breakfast!

This place is called Breakfast at Cayenne, so it's only logical that they open early in the morning! You can check out their opening hours at the bottom of this post!

I'll admit that their indoor's not that spacious hence why I prefer eating outside. Not only is it because the place itself is rather small, there's also a souvenir shop, adding a few sofa and it's full!

Fyi, this place is also famous for their coffee, it's just what I heard though. I'm no coffee expert, so if you're curious, better try it yourself..lol!

CAPPUCCINO IDR 36K

I guess it's kind of mandatory that you try the coffee here. The place is totally perfect for coffee time!

Okay, guilty as charged, came here at 3 pm..for their breakfast menu..lol! Fortunately, they serve an all day breakfast menu! Though I admit, I was a bit disappointed with their menu..read on and you'll understand why!

MAPLE CARAMELIZED HASH POTATO IDR 70K

With beef bacon served with sunny side up egg.

First of all, I don't think this is worth it's price! Just some half-cooked potatoes with bacon and 2 fried eggs. At first I was also reluctant to pick this but the waiter kind of wanted us to get this, so we decided to go with it..but it turned out like this! 

BREAKFAST BURRITOS IDR 65K
Filled with scramble eggs, roasted vegetables, avocado, beef bacon and cheese with salsa and sour cream on the side.

This one's better than the last one, though still a bit bland but seeing as the only burrito I like is the one at Pasar Santa (if you know what I mean), this was to be expected!

What I appreciate is the size of it. Not because it's huge though, because it's just the right size to bite, unlike other burritos that tend to be way to big!

SALMON CAKES IDR 70K
With lemon aioli topped with poached egg hollandaise sauce and mixed greens.

This was okay-ish, the bacon and chips helped a lot! Reading the name of this menu, I kinda expect a more prominent salmon taste but it turned out to be like a nugget, so if you're a big fan of nuggets, do try this! XD

By the way, this is so not what I'd say but the salads really good! Now you know how plain the other foods are for me to have taken interest in the veggies..lol!

SPICY PULLED BEEF SANDWICH
Here's their menu of the day, which the waiter also tried to persuade us to order! Good job though, since this was the best out of all! Forgot the price but there's not much difference with the others. The beef's quite delish and not as spicy as I thought, just a slight prick, which is pretty good and I love how the baguette is crispy! Totally saved the day!

Let's not forget to hydrate our bodies whilst enjoying your 'breakfast'! :D

The outdoor here is just perfect to chill and there's a huge umbrella on some table, so don't worry about the sun!

The tables are filled with crazy patterns, which I find quite pretty! Can't really say I'll come back but if they improve their dish I just might, since the place is actually pretty comfy! Well anyways, good luck!

QUEENS HEAD RESTAURANT KEMANG

Wow! Can you imagine that July is almost over?! Time really flies! Well, before this month comes to an end, we'll close it with this super cool restaurant and bar that we saw at Kemang! It's called Queens Head and let me tell ya', this place is gorgeous!! Just look at those cool and crazy looking chandelier thingy!!

Love how the restaurant's divided into few sections! There's the bar, the sofa, and the dining table, all with different styles! What they want to embrace here is high end traditional British pub environment with a contemporary twist!

Warning; there's gonna be a bunch of interiors here cause I just can't help but be enchanted by the place, it's sooo pretty!!

Here's the bar section, I think it's very elegant, don't you? I bet that by now, you could probably guess that the place is huge! Well, not so much but it's pretty huge than other typical restaurants, which explains why they also have a very wide bar!

Anyway, now that you've admired the whole interior, let me make you feel proud to be an Indonesian cause all of these furniture is made from Indonesia! Yeap, these are Indonesia's arts and crafts here you're looking at!! Feel proud Indonesian!

If you're looking for a brighter spot for your photos, I'd recommend this section! The roof are made of glass, so there'll be plenty of natural lights in the afternoon, though I wonder how dark the place would become at night, since the brightest light comes from this place and I don't see any lights that could be bright enough to light the whole place!

CHICKEN DUMPLINGS IDR 85K
Soy ginger glaze.

Since we came here after having lunch, we decided to just enjoy some snacks, while admiring the pretty place and these are perfect for snacks! The dumplings were moist but not oily, so it's really light! Not a big fan of ginger, yet the glaze really won me over!

TANDOORI CHICKEN IDR 170K
Tikka marsala spiced quinoa, coriander, yogurt emulsion.

It's always fun to have some molecular gastronomy in your foods, though the price might not be so friendly because of it. Yeap, you read right, yogurt emulsion, that's the white thingy that made it look like you're eating chicken with soap! It might look strange, but it tasted amazing! Love how rich, yet not too much, the flavors were!

SMOKED SALMON BAGEL IDR 95K
Spiced cream cheese.

Can you believe that the chicken was more expensive than this salmon dish? That's molecular for ya! This bagel's topped with poppy seeds, those black little dots that looks like cigarette ash there..lol! Did you know that poppy seed comes from a fruit that contains opium, which produces drugs like heroine? But don't worry, these seeds won't make you high or anything, instead they're a potential source of anti-cancer drugs! Now you know that this bagel is not only delicious but healthy as well! :p

There's another outdoor section of this place and it looks like this part can be used to held a party or meetings!

25ml tanqueray london dry gine
25ml calvados
25ml apricot liqueur
Stir in a mixing glass, strain into coupette glass. Garnish with orange twist.

Now I'm no alcohol expert, all I know is the alcohol in this is really strong! The orange fragrance's also strong that you'll feel like drinking perfume. Well, guess I'm just not good with alcohols..I can take the sweet and creamy ones but not this one. Looks pretty though!

RUM PUNCH
30ml light rum
30ml dark rum
100ml pj
80ml oj
1/2 passion fruit
15ml lime juice
15ml sugar syrup
Flashmix into a tiki mug. Garnish: lime squeeze & 1/2 passion fruit.

I prefer this one than the other, since this one's less strong..still strong but less! Maybe because there's sugar syrup in it, so even though it's strong, it's still sweet. Another plus point for this one is the super cute tiki mug!! Can I take it home please?! (Kidding!)

Now I know where I'd head to if I ever want to waste time in Kemang. I won't mind spending hours just hanging out in this place! It's comfy and beautiful, the service's also incredible. Perfect!
