COLLIN'S GRILL INDONESIA

It's open for public today! Congratulations! I got the privilege to experience it firsthand and if you're looking for a great place for Christmas dinner / lunch, this one is recommended! Especially that this place is freshly new and just arrived from Singapore! Its first establishment is located in PIM Street Gallery 1st floor. It's called Collin's Grill, and although I've never tried it in Singapore, the class is comparable to TGIFridays I guess? Their menu varies from salad, soup, baked rice, all day brunch, seafood, pasta, steak, pizza, dessert.. What a feast of variety! 

PIKNIK AT ARIF INN JAKARTA

Sooo who does #ButuhPiknik during the Ramadan holiday yet is unable to go out of Jakarta?? Because I'm one of them!! I wanted to go traveling again but since it's high season, practically everything is pricey. SO SAD HUH?! Anyway, I spent the holiday in Jakarta, and fortunately, there's a place that satisfied my wanderlust for quite a bit, called Pinik at Arif Inn!

DEVON CAFE JAKARTA - SENAYAN CITY

Devon Cafe is here in Jakarta!! More specifically in Senayan City Mall at the Crystal Lagoon area, yes, the one with the fish pond..lol! It just opened weeks ago and the waiting list is crazy, which is pretty expected since this is one of the top restaurants in Sydney.

SOFIA THE GUNAWARMAN JAKARTA

Anyone been here before? Not me! I'm a first timer and this is because of an invitation as well. Reason might be because from upfront it look super luxurious and expensive but once you get inside, it's actually pretty casual. It's just a classic elegant design, let's check it out!

BAE BY SOCIEATY SENAYAN CITY

Do you remember the restaurant in Plaza Indonesia called Socieaty by Les Amis Group? Sad to say that Socieaty is no longer here but worry not cause they got a new restaurant to replace the loss of Socieaty. It's called BAE by Socieaty and has the same theme and same concept, a bar and restaurant!

ECOLOGY BISTRO KEMANG

This is a place that would be very familiar if you often visit Kemang. A place that has been there for 9 years, it's Ecology! Though it's a pretty old place, they've just finished renovated last May. They've changed their concept into more of a bistro now. Fyi, they've used to open from dusk to dawn but now, they only open 'till midnight!

MOREAU CHOCOLATIER'S CAFE KEMANG

Are you ready to indulge yourself in some chocolatey goodness? This is a place where you'll be craving hard for chocolates, it's Moreau at Kemang! Saw this on a random post on Instagram and set our minds to come and try it! How can you not when you see these, just read on and you'll understand why!

MAOKI COFFEE & FOOD

It's mid 2017 and yet coffee game still going strong here in Jakarta! Here's another new coffee shop appearing in Dharmawangsa Square called Maoki Coffee. It's inside Barber Club in the back corner and I start to wonder why are there so many coffee shops that is inside a barber shop!

SUNDAY BRUNCH AT ARTS CAFE @RAFFLES HOTEL JAKARTA

Sorry for being super late at this but Merry Christmas everybody!! Better late than never, right? These days must have been a week of Christmas dinners and get-togethers, so we want to give you another one to add to your list of possible venue, it's Arts Cafe from Raffles Hotel!

GIOI RESTAURANT SENOPATI

Of course, if it's not PIK, it's Senopati. You can always count on them for some new dining spots! This time it's a cute restaurant called Gioi in Senopati! Exact location is right next to Cacaote (yet another post that has to do with Cacaote..lol!)

ATTARINE RESTAURANT JAKARTA

Congrats for the opening of Attarine! News flash; Attarine here is from the same group as Potato Head. Came here at dinner time, since they'll only be open for lunch today at 29th October 2016! Be sure to go check them out now!

The foods here is a mix of Indonesian, Western, and Eastern. I guess you could say it's an all in one..lol! What I'm saying is that they literally mix those cuisine into a single dish and they're not playing around when it comes to spices!

BERRYWELL JAKARTA

One of our resolution this year is actually to eat healthier..but reality isn't as forgiving. :') We admit that it's very hard to eat healthy nowadays, especially after becoming a food blogger. Our work demands us to try any kind of food, from the healthiest to the guiltiest! No, it's not an excuse~ :p but seriously tho, which is why we need these kind of places! A place for smoothie bowls called Berrywell, located in Fairgrounds, SCBD! If you're gonna go by Uber or taxi or others, they call the place 'Bengkel'. Not familiar with 'Fairground'? You'd probably have heard of a club called Fable, well, this is right below it!

RUCI'S JOINT SENOPATI

Coming to a place like this with family is something that is very rare for me. Usually we'd prefer a family restaurant or somewhere close instead but because there're some new tenants at Ruci's Joint that weren't there when we last visit (yes, we came here twice), I decided to come here with my mom! On our first visit, we tried the shameless salad and on the second, tried almost everything except for the lasagna!

NOLITA COFFEE & COMFORT FOOD KEMANG

Like we said before on our last post, we've been quite interested in coffee shops more nowadays and we even found this hidden gem! Can't really say that we 'found' this but we've never really heard about this place before and while browsing for interesting places in the South, since we were in that area, we stumbled upon this pretty spot at Kemang, Nolita Coffee & Comfort Food!

The reason why we called it a hidden gem is also because when we came here, it was pretty deserted..like 'we're the only customer' kind of deserted..lol! Too bad though, since I personally think the place is comfy enough and super photoshoot worthy! Yeap, 1 of us even had an OOTD moment here if you followed both of our Instagram! :p

Can't really say that the place is small, especially seeing as they have a second floor, which leads back to why I said too bad! I think this place needs to improve their marketing cause I bet people would love places like this! I would as well, if it were not so far from home!

Yes, the name is Nolita Coffee & Comfort Food..guess that they really wanted to highlight that they offer comfort foods. Well, since it's a first, we guessed that it would be interesting!

MOCHA LATTE IDR 38K
Milk foam, steamed milk, chocolate, espresso.

At first sight you'll definitely doubt whether this is mocha or not, since the color doesn't show any signs of chocolate whatsoever! After tasting it though, you'll then find hints of chocotale in it. Kinda disappointed that they're pretty stingy on the chocolate!

BUTTERMILK FRIED CHICKEN WAFFLE IDR 65k
W/ butter and maple syrup.

Great fried chicken, not so great waffle. Love the crispy and flavorful chicken but the waffle's a bit lacking, both in texture and taste! Though it's not really that bad when you add the maple syrup or whipped cream but not with the butter. I was expecting the butter to at least be salty or sweet but it's not, so it doesn't really help the waffle!

STICKY DATE PUDDING IDR 50K
W/ toffee sauce and vanilla ice cream.

So good!! Don't expect this to be a pudding though, cause it's more of a cake and it's very sweet, especially with the toffee sauce! Eating it with ice cream whether it's still warm or not is both enjoyable!

This wall is so artsy and great photo spot! The only problem is that it's located outside of the building and at that time, the weather was scorching hot, so I didn't really want to be outside for long! If it wasn't that hot, I bet I would've snap a few OOTDs here..lol! Maybe next time!

LEWIS & CARROLL TEA

Yeahh! Finally! It's not another new coffee shop that has decided to open in Jakarta but a tea specialist! Well, can you deny that when you're asked about tea shop, the first thing that popped up in your mind is TWG? Which is why I'm super psyched about this place called Lewis & Carroll Tea, located near Pakubuwono Apartment. If you still have trouble finding it, try locating it with a GPS, cause that's how I found it!

They're in the same building as a place for yoga, which is on the 2nd floor. Both are perfect for finding inner peace..lol! What I love a bout this place is how simple and elegant it is, plus it's super neat and clean, very classy!

You can choose various types of tea that will be put into these tubes and will be served to your table right away!

If you don't know anything about teas like us..worry not! Cause the staff will be more than happy to tell us about they're signature teas and even include which ones are best for hot or iced ones! Super helpful!

While the staff is explaining, we are also encouraged to sniff each tea's aroma and let me tell you, these smell super good! It's like an aromatherapy..lol!

Not only do they offer special teas, you can also buy your own sets of teacups! Available in all the colors of the rainbows!

For the dining, they're not the high-tea kind but the usual dining, so there's appetizer, dual main course, desserts, and of course, teas!

SAFARI SUNSET SIGNATURE IDR 35K
We chose this one because it definitely allured us with it's strong scent even before brewed! That and it's also the staff's recommendation haha! Tastes sort of like a unsweetened orange Nutrisari, so if you're a fan of it, you'll definitely like this!

HAYWARD WHITE IDR 55K
This one's actually tastes like normal tea with a hint of something different that I just can't put my finger on! I'm no tea expert, so I know I'm doing a poor job on explaining this but there's just this slight unique taste to it. Be reminded that they don't provide sugar, since it'll destroy the taste!

ISLAND CORDIAL SIGNATURE IDR 35K
For the iced teas, we decided to go with this one! All I can say is that even in iced, the scent is still strong and it tastes like mango, so it's already has a hint of sweetness even without sugar! It's all natural sweetness, super recommended!

CARBONARA IDR 80K
Spinach linguine with beef bacon in truffle carbonara sauce.

Sorry for the super mainstream choice but I can't help it, I was craving for some creamy pasta! Everything was fine...until the truffle oil hits. I'm starting to wonder why most restaurants like to put truffle oil on EVERYTHING! :( I really don't like the smell of it, judge me all you want but I really think it smells like gas! People say that the truffle oil makes the dish better and I admit this does taste wonderful but the smell of it is just too much for me!

Tastes like how a carbonara should taste, though it's a bit dry for my liking. Don't know if it's suppose to be like this or not but at least the taste was okay!

TURKEY SANDWICH IDR 80K
Focaccia, wild arugula, tomatoes, and slices of smoked turkey breast with tuna mayo.

My personal favorite!! Though it looks ordinary and usually I don't like tomatoes and all, this one is an exception! You just have to eat everything here to get its best taste! Love the smoked turkey slices!

All that goodness wrapped in a crispy bun with some tasty chips on the side. Perfection!

PAN FRIED SALMON IDR 95K

Pan fried salmon with dill sauce.

This pan seared salmon if eaten alone is very ordinary, so please prevent yourself from doing that! You have to eat everything here; the potatoes, salad, and even eggplants, plus don't forget the sauce, I assure you, it'll be different!

Even though I don't like eggplants, I have no idea how they make the eggplants here yummy for me!

CHOCOLATE ECLAIR IDR 50K
This is such a chocolate-y goodness!! Too bad it's too overpriced! :'( But if you have some extra cash to burn, you should definitely try this!!

Love the white theme with this rainbow decoration! Just gives you that sense of serenity!

I'd totally come back just for the sake of have a calm and peaceful afternoon tea time! The place is also so beautiful that you'd even want to have a photoshoot here!
