SUSHI MATSU JAKARTA

New sushi house spotted!! This one is called Sushi Matsu and it's located at Menteng, near Grand Indonesia. The sushi here is all very photogenic, which is what attracted me in the first place, so let's try it!

There's an indoor and outdoor, which are both equally spacey. From what I saw, people here prefer the outdoor as they can smoke there.

The place is still very clean and looks new. They opened on the end of 2017 tho, so I guess you can't really call them new?

BEEF ABURI SUKIYAKIZUSHI IDR 98K

1 plate of this already includes 2 types of Aburi Beef. 1 with cheese and orange flying fish roe and the other with black flying fish roe, doesn't taste different tho..lol!

Can't really say it's bad but it's just below expectation or maybe I put too high of an expectation and got disappointed? Hahaha

Since it's aburi beef, it's not 100% cooked as it's only torched. It also doesn't have that delicious beef smell.

TRUFFLE GYUDON IDR 98K

ADD ON FOIE GRAS IDR 70K

This is super gewd!!! The beef is cooked to a medium and is super tender, the onsen egg also made the whole dish into a creamy goodness and the foie gras is just a perfect last touch. Amazing!

You definitely won't regret trying this!

BEEF ABURI YAKINIKUZUSHI IDR 58K

The only difference is that there's no cheese here. Why is it more expensive? Cause the portion is bigger, still doesn't have that beef smell tho! Under all this beef there's sushi rice, so I guess you need to roll the meat over the rice to eat it.

SPECIAL MATSU ABURI SUSHI MORIAWASE IDR 178K

The most complete moriawase ever..lol! Starting from Salmon, Toro, Shimaaji, Unagi, Salmon Belly, Beef, it's all here and I'm pretty satisfied with this. Definitely a recommended item!

GOMOKI HANA SUSHI IDR 140K

Pretty similar to that other sushi house and people have also said the same thing. Even when I was eating, I overheard the table behind me also mentioned that said other sushi house..lol!

Can't really describe it one by one but it's all delicious, even the wasabi mayo one! Fyi, all of that can be ordered per portion, if you don't want that stairs package. 1 portion consists of 2 pieces and the price ranges from IDR 58K - 68K.

Here's the outdoor, which still has AC though not as cold as the indoor.
