AKIRA BACK BUSINESS LUNCH SET

Who DOESN'T know Akira Back! I think they're popular enough for people to know that they're not a new restaurant, right? Lol! But what we wanna share to you guys about is their Business Lunch Set, where you could have a full course meal with a very affordable price!

You might already know this but Akira Back is located on the 12th floor of MD Place and the interior is just super elegant and classy with overflowing natural light! Love it!

They've got some different seating section and in every section you'll get different experience, yet still on the same quality level! I definitely would prefer the place closest to the glass windows and luckily they have plenty of that!

Personally I think this place sort of fits many occasions, be it business-like, friendly gathering, or romantic dinners!

Starting of with refreshments, we went with some mocktail, which is called mock 'n tease here. We got the Almost Famous and Akira Ice Tea to accompany our lunch!

HAMACHI TATAKI

Grilled yellowtail, sweet miso sauce, yuzu soy foam.

Might not look much in portion-wise but definitely looks the most unique! Always love those molecular gastronomy techniques! Don't worry though, below that foamy substance there's a grilled yellowtail..lol! I do think it tastes good with the combination of sweet and sour of the miso and yuzu. A good way to build up your appetite!

SALMON ABURI

Yuzu soy, peppers, radish sprouts.

Who can say no to a good salmon aburi? Perfect thin slices, just enough for it to be a superb appetizer! Again they use yuzu for the sauce, which I think is totally a great starter! Remember to eat the whole contents without leaving anything out to get its best taste!

FIREBALL ROLL

Tempura cream cheese & jalapeno roll, spicy tuna.

True to their name this fireball roll is actually spicy, though it's not to the point that I can't handle. I think the cream cheese kinda helped toning down the spiciness. Be sure to watch out for the surprise inside it! :p

"KIMCHEESE" SLIDERS
Mozarella cheese, short rib patty, gabo chips.

I guess this is the biggest in portion for the appetizer section and the most favorite. This sliders is filled with kimchi and cheese, hence the name! Tender short rib patty to complete the whole thing with chips on the side made of taro! Don't forget to include the gherkin in every bite for perfect combinations!

This is not included in the business lunch set but it's a 'must-have's if you visit Akira Back, so here it is Akira Back's all time favorite Tuna Pizza!

PAN FRIED FLOUNDER

Cauliflower florettes, garlic ponzu butter sauce.

Moving on to the mains, we're gonna start with this flounder. Might not look much but it actually tastes pretty good! There's the garlic ponzu butter sauce that needs to be poured in to lift up the taste, so don't forget it!

This is the Spring Mix Salad that you'll get on the side if you choose either the Akira's Chirashi or the Chef's Selection Sushi Platter! It's just a bunch of healthy and fresh veggies with an awesome dressing! Yummy and healthy!

AKIRA'S CHIRASHI

Assorted sashimi on sushi rice served with spring mix salad.

As you know, chirashi is just a different way to serve sushi and since I love sushi, it's very easy to love this as well! There's nothing really special to be boast about but also nothing to complain about. I guess this is the safest choice! I definitely love the rice but then again, I love all sushi rice..lol!

CHEF'S SELECTION SUSHI PLATTER

5 pcs nigiri & spicy tuna roll served with spring mix salad.

Sushi!!! Yeap, totally loved it! Various selection of nigiri with high quality products accompanied with delicious spicy tuna roll! Don't disturb me while I'm slowly enjoying this exquisite delicacies!

GRILLED SPRING CHICKEN

Spicy Korean marinade, grilled veggies.

You might think that this is very ordinary but it actually tastes amazing! Super tender that you don't really need a knife to cut through it, which means it's cooked to perfection. The spicy Korean marinade made it taste extraordinary! Totally worth the try!

USDA PRIME SHORT RIB
Soy braised potato puree, roasted baby carrot.

Prime short ribs can't really do anything wrong but opposite to that, this did incredible! Tender ribs with amazing sauce with a really fluffy potato puree on the side. The combination can't get any better than this!

CHOCOLATE IN A CUP

Valrhona gianduja cake, rum & raisin ice cream, banana foam.

This little thing here is heaven!! It's just oh-so-good and I love everything about it! The super cool melting chocolate plate on top to the yummy rum & raisin ice cream and cake below! You just have to get this everyone!

BLACK SESAME CHEESECAKE
Sesame tuile, coconut ice cream.

Don't you just think this looks super pretty? It's really too bad that the composition is not something I love and plus, I'm more of a chocolate person than cheese, which is why I prefer the dessert before! Love the coconut ice cream though!

Can you believe that this lunch set will cost you starting from only IDR 180++? A super affordable price for a superb quality from Akira Back! I mean, it's not like they're giving you less from what Akira Back usually offers, only less pricey! Be reminded that this promotion only works for Monday to Friday and from 12 pm to 3 pm! Write it down before you regret it!
