YONG HE NOODLE HOUSE

To those who's been to Singapore, this is probably something you're very familiar with, it's Singapore's famous street food bak chor mee and now it's available in Jakarta! Yeah!! H5 used to sell bak chor mee as well but since they've closed down, the only spot to find it is here, called Yong He Noodle, I really hope that this one will stand still!

Yong He Noodle here is located in line with Eaton at Muara Karang or you can just type the name into Google Maps..lol! Upon entering the place, I got this Abura Soba kinda feels, maybe because the cutleries and tables are super similar and is it just me or does this feel like a fast food restaurant?

Interior's super simple and modest, pretty deserted as well, probably because they've just opened in July and the location is not in the main road, so they lack exposure!

See! Isn't this similar to Abura Soba? Is it just me? Oh well~

Here's their menu, there's the back side of this menu but it's only filled ith side dishes and drinks. Kinda shocked by the pricey side dish, Blanched Fish costs IDR 88k, Vegetables with Abalone Sauce costs IDR 59K, and Chicken Wings IDR 35K!

These 2 must have refreshments when you're here, Barley Water and Luo Han Guo, which both cost IDR 18K and you can either choose hot or ice. Love the Luo Han Guo, especially since it helps soothe my sore throat!

SIGNATURE SEAFOOD BAK CHOR NOODLE (MEE POK) IDR 59K
Good news!! They still have a buy 1 get 1 promor till the end of this August! Only available from 2-5 pm though, so don't miss out! If you buy this dish, you'll get another either this as well or the Bak Chor Mee. You can only get 1 promotion for each table tho!

They have 2 noodle choices, Mee Kia or Mee Pok, the difference is Mee Kia is a wide noodle and Mee Pok is the slimmer type and we went with Mee Pok!

Although this is seafood, I love how it doesn't smell at all and they're super generous with the minced pork! Yum!

Tastes super Singaporean, light with a taste of sweet soy sauce and what makes this delicious is their trusty chili! Can't really call it chili though, since it's not spicy at all, like a range of 1-10, then this is 1,5! Not spicy but savory, I'm guessing they used ebi and that's what makes it so good, so don't forget to use it! Really levels up the whole dish from plain to flavorful!

BAK CHOR MEE (MEE KIA) IDR 35K
Honestly I prefer this one because the minced pork is much more generous here and there's pork crackers too!! Oh heavenly goodness! There's also this super yummy beef ball and mushrooms are also amazing. Everything in this bowl is just superb!

Trust me, people! This is good! Though not many would like sweet type noodles, you can always use the chili to make it more savory!

FISH SOUP IDR 49K
Comfort healthy food..lol! Light tasting soup with healthy ingredients, like tofu, tomato, and greens, with of course, fish. Usually eaten with their garlic rice..sounds perfect to me!

Really wished that they'll last long because I really don't know where else to go when I crave for some Bak Chor Mee in Jakarta! Good Luck!!
