CASA DE PERI KOTA KASABLANKA

The type of restaurant that is very similar to Nando's, if you've ever heard about it. It's that chicken with peri-peri sauce and this is the Indonesian version! Located in Kota Kasablanka near Chung Gi Wa, this place is called Casa De Peri!

OJJU KOREAN FOOD KOTA KASABLANKA

So psyched that this cheese rolled ribs has finally landed in Jakarta!! After only having to drool from pictures that people from overseas uploaded on Instagram, either in Korea, Japan, or Thai, now my own beloved country has finally got one of these! Exact location is near Shirokuma in Kota Kasablanka and it's called Ojju, which is from GF Culinary, the same group as Marutama Ramen, Fish n Co, and Song Fa!

WING STOP INDONESIA

Well, it's not everyday that we went to fast-foods for a proper meal but seeing as we love chicken wings, especially with yummy flavors, we decided to head to Wing Stop at Kota Kasablanka! Wing Stop here isn't a new place and they actually have many branches already but since we were at Kota Kasablanka, we decided to give the one here a try!

The place is pretty simple. A typical fast-food restaurant and it's also not that spacey. They also surprisingly got an outdoor though, so it's not as boring as you think, plus it's still pretty comfy! Like in most fast-foods, you'll need to order at the counter and then take a seat, the waiter will gladly serve the foods to you!

BOBA TEA SHAKE IDR 17K

Peach and apple.

Totally got blown away by this! We weren't really expecting anything out of it but it turns out to be very nice! Not only is it refreshing, the boba, which is a popping boba, goes really well with the drink and is absolutely decent! I'd definitely recommend this!

CRUNCHY WINGS (5 PCS) IDR 38K
Choose any 2 flavors.

For this, they have 3 choices in terms of amount, the other 2 are 7 pieces, which costs IDR 48K and 10 pieces for IDR 71K. You can either choose this, which is the usual chicken wing or you can get the boneless wings, though I think the size is totally different! Love the fact that the chicken wing's pretty big with lots of meat!

ASIAN SPICE
They totally make the right choice in making this new flavor! Well, that might just be me, since I love glazed seasonings better than dry ones and from the 4 flavors we picked, this is the only one that's glazed! I'd definitely choose this one again on my next visit!

GARLIC PARMESAN
You can really taste the cheese but I really didn't taste any garlic. Guess maybe it was because the cheese flavor is pretty strong! Though I love glazed flavors, I do admit that there's a plus point in dry flavors as well, like the fact that it's more crunchy, so I'm leaving it all to preference!

BONELESS WINGS (5 PCS) IDR 36K

Like I said before, you can clearly see the size difference! Yet this is pretty tempting, since you don't need to get down and dirty and pretty easy to eat but where's the fun in that, right? :p Oh, almost forgot to tell you that either this and the crunchy wings menu comes with a dipping sauce! You can either choose honey mustard or creamy ranch! There's also a cheddar cheese sauce but because the price is different, it's not included in the complimentary choice! :(

CAJUN
To me, this sort of tasted like barbecue, like the actual barbecue sauce. Savory and sour, though I do admit this is more sour than barbecue sauce and spicy too! It was okay but very plain and I don't think it will leave me craving for more!

LOUISIANA RUB
Another okay-ish flavor! Tasted like how fried chicken originally supposed to taste like. Not bad, yet not memorable as well, which totally shows, since I'm at lost for words as to what to say about it..lol!

We'd prefer to eat these wings without the dipping sauce, since we think it's better without it. The honey mustard is still better than the ranch though, but we bet that the cheddar cheese would be amazing! Too bad it's not included in the complimentary choices, yet we can clearly see why!

MIITEM KOTA KASABLANKA

These past few weeks, I've been having this weird reoccurring crave for noodles! Be it Chinese noodles, ramen, ramyun, anything, so we decided to get a taste of this not so new noodle house called Miitem. From the name you could probably have guessed what they offer, yeap, it's black noodles!

Miitem is located at Kota Kasablanka, which explains a lot of why we didn't try it sooner. Yes, we didn't come here that often, since it's pretty far and there's not many new restaurants here. Though because we were gonna watch Hillsong's concert that was held here, we decided to fill our stomach at this well-known noodle house!

MIITEM AGLIO OLIO IDR 38K
Actually there's a not-so-funny story about this. When we were scanning through the menu, we didn't quite find anything that interested us other than the tuna rica-rica, so we went with this safe pick. As we were waiting for our foods to come out, we scrolled Instagram for any other interesting dish and found this yummy looking dish with cheese sprinkled on top of them, yet none explained what it was and we could only wished that it was what we picked. In the end, it turns out to be exactly as we hoped!! Yeay! Well, it was good, a bit spicy, could use a tad bit more seasoning, but overall good!

MIITEM WITH TUNA RICA-RICA IDR 38K
Like most of you has probably known, we like to do a little bit of research on the restaurant we're going to try, so that we could easily decided on what to get. For this place, our target has been this tuna rica-rica from the start! Since we also loved a spicy tuna spaghetti at a certain restaurant, we figured this might be similar and we were right! Though it's a bit spicier than we expected, we just couldn't stop munching on it because it really is good!

The same problem with their seasoning, though this one was saved by the fact that it's spicy!

BROWNIES CHEESECAKE IDR 27K
We didn't expect much from a cake at a noodle house, so we were totally blown away by this! It's seriously yummy. How the chocolate is really rich and doesn't taste like cheap chocolate was the first thing that impressed me! Next is probably how the cake definitely tasted like actual cheese and not just a cheese flavored sponge cake. The brownies in the middle and cookie base crust are also another plus point! Love it when the desserts are amazing!

I would be okay to come back here if I'm coincidentally at Kota Kasablanka but I don't think I'd come here especially for this. It's good and all but I just don't find it spectacular, except for their brownies cheesecake!

CAPRESE RESTAURANT, PIZZERIA & BAR

A restaurant named after a famous tomato and mozzarella salad, Caprese, is not really new but certainly interesting. Located between the main lobby and lobby Food Society of Kota Kasablanka, though never had the chance to try it, since we live at West Jakarta and Kota Kasablanka is at South Jakarta.

But finally got to try it cause we got an invitation to the grand opening of the new Bakerzin here at Kota Kasablanka!

Didn't take a lot of photos of the interior because it was prohibited, I was told by the waiter that I need special permission to snap a pic of their interior... Hmm..

They have amazing and comfortable outdoors, too bad it's for the smokers or I'd be happy to sit there and enjoy the outdoor breeze. There's also an indoor bar that I didn't get to take a photo of..

CAPRESE'S PUNCH IDR 35K

Our version of fruit punch… orange, grapefruit, passion fruit, mango, pineapple and lime juice shaken with a dash of kiwi syrup

A mixture of all my favorite fruits into one wonderful punch. It's just right, not too sweet nor sour. Fresh and perfect for the hot weather of Jakarta, really recommend this if you're looking for a great refreshment!

COMPLIMENTARY BREAD

They offer a yummy bread, warm and soft, to compliment their salads. For a complimentary, they put a lot of effort to the quality. Good job!

Another compliment, bread PLUS soup, both delicious too!

BARBECUE CHICKEN SALAD IDR 51K

Marinated chicken breast, tossed with avocado, fresh tomato, corn, beans, lettuce, cucumber, topped with crispy onion rings in thousand island dressing

Not really a big fan of salads, but for this one I'd happily give an exception! Separated thousand island that you could pour into the salad and harmonizes the greens and chicken, brings all of them together into one solid dish that tastes not only delicious but also healthy. Credits to the barbecue chicken, cause I think that's what made me like this salad, even though I don't prefer the tomatoes and they could use less cucumber as well.

PORK CHOP IDR 109K

Hidden menu!! You won't be able to find this on the menu, since there're absolutely no pork dish written on the menu. Luckily, I found this one on a blog I read, seriously, ASK the waiter for their porks! Hmm.. Wonder what other pork dishes are there.. Okay, this dish is pretty much okay, love the mashed potatoes but maybe the meat is a bit overcooked and became tough to chew. For a slight Indonesian taste, they used a sauce that taste like rendang, which is a bit weird but still okay, I guess...

STRAWBERRY PANACOTTA IDR 47K
Strawberry flavored panacotta served with fresh fresh strawberry on top

Might be the most delicious pannacotta I've ever tasted! Pannacotta is a really simple dessert that is often abused, which is too bad, since if you really pay attention to the quality and everything, you'll get a superb dessert like this one! You can really taste strawberry in the pannacotta and also a slight white chocolate too. Really soft and fluffy texture with not crunchy but soft crumbles on top. The fresh strawberries on top is sweet as well. One bite and you're in HEAVEN!

Super satisfied and amazed with their overall incredibly good quality control! Their pizzas have some interesting and funny names, but I didn't order any of it cause everyone's too full already, some of the pizza names are; The Kanye, Alice in the Wonderland, Blackie Chan, Tom Cruise, Black Widow, and my favorite; Iron Man. Be sure to check out their pizzas and hidden pork menu when you visit!
