KOPIUM SUNTER

Okay, so if you live in Kelapa Gading, you would be familiar with this coffee shop called Kopium but today we won't be talking about the one in Gading but in Sunter instead! Yeap, they've already opened up a 2nd branch, though Gading and Sunter isn't really that far from each other. We didn't intend to come here specifically, we just passed the place and think that it looks interesting from the outside..totally on impulse!

VIVERRI COFFEE SHOP

Does anybody notice how hot it is these days or is it just me? Well anyways, since we've been really stressed with our final thesis, what we really need is a nice relaxing place and this place is perfect for it! It's a homey little coffee shop at Pluit Timur residential, called Viverri Coffee Shop!

 I first found out about this place from my friend, who actually lived just a few blocks away from this place and she actually found out about it from Instagram, which was a surprise for both of us, seeing as how close it was! I stayed at my friend's house for quite a few times, since she's my partner in my final thesis, so we have been here for quite a lot of times already and we just can't get enough of this place cause it's not only cozy and close, as in 'walking distance' close, but the staffs and owner are all very friendly and they're more than willing to share some coffee knowledge to everybody!

This place used to only be a bean roaster and they only supplies beans but after for quite some time, the owner decided to just open a little homey coffee shop for the neighborhood, so here it is!! So don't be surprised that the place is really small!

ICE ESPRESSO CUBE IDR 25K

My favorite drink here always changes from time to time and right now, this is my current favorite! Since I usually take my milk coffee hot, this a nice change, especially in this hot day! Little explanation of what this is, it's espresso made into an ice cube and it's going to be poured with milk that has been mixed with caramel or other syrup flavor according to your request! It's really soothing and refreshing to have for an afternoon coffee break!

ICE CAPPUCCINO IDR 20K
This was my friend's order, which just proves how hot the day was! Almost everyone ordered something cold to drink! Lol!

OVOMALTINE FRAPPE IDR 30K
Yeap, they used actual Ovomaltine for this! Though the Ovomaltine taste wasn't that strong you can still get the crunchy feeling from the sprinkled Ovomaltine on top of the foam! For the frappes here, the coffee taste is still really strong, though maybe that's because the Ovomaltine taste was a bit weak but just be warned that you non-coffee fan might not like this as much!

COLD DRIP MANUAL BREW IDR 25K
Okay, my memory is a bit limited, if I'm not mistaken this is what it's called but it's different from the Cold Drip. This one is the Bali, Kintamani, if I remembered correctly and the orange in the middle was just to enhance the citrus flavor! I do admit it was enjoyable, since it's cold and refreshing with the ice and citrus flavor and strong citrus fragrance!

MOCHA IDR 25K
Mocha used to be my last favorite before the espresso cube because unlike other mocha I've tasted, the chocolate flavor in this was actually strong, so it still taste like coffee but with a sweet chocolate taste!

MOCHA FRAPPE IDR 30K
This one's not really that different from the mocha latte concerning their taste. The only difference was that one is hot and the other is cold and the frappe has less coffee taste, so both are good for different reasons!

What really attracts me to this place is the fact that it's really relaxing here, they really gives off a feeling of 'it's okay to be lazy here' and since it's not a fancy coffee shop, I don't really need to care about what I wear and how I look, no one's judging, the only thing people care about here is getting some coffee! Another reason is of course, if you hadn't notice is the very affordable price! When I asked the owner about their pricing, he casually said that it's just how it's supposed to be priced. I know I'll be coming back here soon whenever I'm in the neighborhood!

DUBAI CAFE REGATTA APARTMENT

Hi hi! How's everybody today? Good I hope! Today is about an amazing place and home to some! It's the famous Regatta Apartment at Pantai Mutiara!!

Warning; there's gonna be a LOT of interior here, since this is probably the first time I'm more attracted to the interiors than the food! Who wouldn't in a place like this?!

So when you first arrive at the cafe, Dubai cafe, you'll find two sides of the room, each with different decor! This is what the left side looks like;

On this side, everything is more classy and elegant yet comfy cause of all the sofas!

The tables here have also been set up, like how a proper hotel restaurant would be!

You can also find the bar here!

Super long table that is fit for conference or something!

On the contrary, here is the right side! It totally has more beach house vibe!

This is probably more suitable for those who'd bring their kids, since it has more 'vacation' feel than the left side!

And last, the breath-taking outdoor!!

No words can describe how beautiful the view is!

I could definitely picture myself enjoying a nice refreshing beverage with a good book on my hands!

I love the beach, the ocean, the smell of salt-water, and the sound of waves! Everything felt peaceful here!

Now before you get your hopes up, I'd like to just give you a heads up that the F&B here was pretty disappointing!

ICED TEA TARIK IDR 20K & STRAWBERRY MILKSHAKE IDR 30K

All I can say about these is; BLAND! I even had to ask for sugar syrup to at least let it have some taste in it! Can you imagine having to add sugar to a milkshake?

KEDONDONG JUICE IDR 25K
Don't laugh yet! This was actually a decent drink! I'm guessing that they're good on their juices! Remember to order their juices if you dine here!

Crab stick, tobico and kyuri

Guess that this was okay considering there's nothing that could go wrong with ingredients they used and just adding mayo on top! It was refreshing and light though! Anyway, I'm so sorry that I forgot the price!

CRISPY CHICKEN WING IDR 35K
With french fries.

The chicken wings were a bit scary, the color of the meat was kinda pinkish purple! I asked the waiter about it but after taking it back into the kitchen, the waiter came back and said that this was how it supposed to be! Okay, I'm totally eating with fear and the taste was not even good! They should probably find another chicken supply!

WAFFLE WITH ICE CREAM IDR 25K

They have 3 basic options for the ice cream; vanilla, strawberry and chocolate. This was really plain waffle that you could probably make your own at home, you could even make a better one! They could at least drizzle a bit of honey into it!

The pool really makes you want to just jump into it!

Amazing view, Regatta, but they should do something about the foods, guess you can't really expect anything considering the reasonable price! I totally recommend that you come here and enjoy the view, order some drinks or something, you just have to see how crazy this place is!

D'LLYST RESTAURANT & CAFE

Hey guys! Today we're heading north to the ever popular Pantai Indah Kapuk in search of some good food... I was attracted to this place's unique outdoor walls, which is full of quotes. This newly opened at March 17, 2014 place is called D'llyst, located at PIK near Bobabits.

As you know, most of the restaurants and cafes here has an outdoor and D'llyst is no different... And let me tell you, the outdoor seat was WAY too crowded when we arrived. It was soccer day and there's a TV there which is, of course, with soccer on the air. Yeap, it's your typical nobar-ing...

Well, being not that HUGE fan of soccer, I decided to sit on the indoor table which is.... Almost absolutely empty with just a few staff hanging around. What a difference!

The interior of this place is okay... Neat and simple. There's nothing that really screams out to me though, but this is good enough. It's mostly black and white, sometimes 'black and white's can make an incredible impression if arranged amazingly, but this one is just the normal plain black and white... It's too proper to my liking. I do like the wall of quotes outside though!

Just a bit of ranting I wanna share is that the service was horrible... We were given the menu by the owner(?) maybe? Well, I don't really know, but it looks like the owner. Anyway, there's absolutely no smile, no manners, no what-so-ever that you can call hospitality! For my partner, who came from the hospitality area, this was simply unacceptable! I mean, you're running a restaurant, something that has to do with serving people, maybe you're in a bad day, but that's no excuse for not wearing a simple thing such as a 'smile'. That's like, the number 1 thing on the rules, with manners coming second!

Another disappointing fact, we arrived at 7/8 pm, which is a normal hour to have dinner, right? Nope, I guess what I normally thought was wrong, cause most of the menu was already out of stock in this hour. They must've had a pretty successful day, huh?

The worst part is, they have 3 desserts, and all 3 of them were out of stock!!! Noooo! So I guess this is all I could provide you guys with... What a night I had...

Did you guys notice something strange with this photo? Don't worry, this time it has nothing to do with the restaurant. Funny thing actually, it was my friend! He drank it before I got the chance to take the photo! No hard feelings though. Instead, we got a pretty good laugh out of it. :)

THAI BEEF (SALAD) IDR 39K

When I hear the words 'Salad', I automatically thought of veggies and fruits, but this another one of those that blew my mind! The main star here is beef, which is medium well and incredibly soft, put together with glass noddles and sauce which I'm guessing is Vinaigrette cause of the tangy flavor.

RATATOUILLE IDR 60K

Chicken served with herb demiglace sauce.

First thought, wow, the chicken is tiny... Maybe the taste is  better...? Heck no! The chicken was tough and the sauce was lacking. For the price, the quality was a huge disappointment. There's also a side dish but I don't really know what it is...

D'LLYST DUO PIZZA IDR 65K

They recommended us this pizza, so might as well give it a try. It was okay actually and might be better if it wasn't cold when it arrived. The dough wasn't crispy even the slightest bit, maybe that has to do with the temperature too. But topping wise, it wasn't that bad...

Not really recommending this place, but maybe it's suitable to enjoy a nice time watching soccer with bunch of friends. I hope that they will improve their service and taste in the near future though. There's always room for improvements... Best of luck!
